1. Sightsee Singapore is the business and cultural hub in South East Asia. If you only have a few hours to spare, taking a tour around the city is definitely a must. There are a couple of short tours you can take from Changi Airport which makes it super convenient if you have a flight to catch.
Singapore is renowned from towering skyscrapers to modest shop houses, there is a great contrast and range in architecture. You will be able to hit up all of the iconic tourist spots such as the Merlion, Gardens by the Bay, the Marina Bay Sands, Colonial District to name a few. Singapore is a melting pot of different cultures and traditions. This means that there is also a flurry of wonderful temples and culturally relevant buildings across the country too.
2. Eat Singapore is also renowned for its diverse local cuisine. Not only will you have a lot of choices but prices in their hawker centres are actually really affordable. (Hawker centres are essentially food courts.) Make sure to visit a hawker centre if you venture outside the airport. Indonesian, Malaysian, Indian, Chinese cuisines are just some of the different flavours you will enjoy. 3. Shop Singapore is a shopper’s dream. Almost all of the luxury brands in the world have a shop in Singapore and all of them congregate in Orchard Road. If you want to shop a bit while in the country, make sure to visit Orchard Road. There are also quite a few good selections of luxury shops in Changi Airport.
4. Sleep If you wish to rest after hours of travel, Singapore has a great array of hotels to choose from. Travellers can choose between affordable accommodations or more high-end hotels near Boat Quay. Hotels in the area are Singapore icons such as the Raffles Hotel. Views from this area are also not to be missed at night. It is also walking distance to a lot of great restaurants and bars.
