You've heard about the great Black Friday deals you can get at the various stores on that day, but did you know you can get some great travel deals too? Would you be happy to book a great discount on an air tour of the Grand Canyon? Fortunately, you can! Tour companies have special deals ready for Black Friday for tours that go to the West Rim or the South Rim that depart from Vegas or Arizona. The flights that take off from Arizona lift off just outside of the South Rim, and the ones that depart from Vegas can get to the Canyon in under an hour. So which rim will you choose? West Rim, or South? Vegas Air Tours It's easy to find a tour that matches your budget and schedule when you fly out of Vegas, because there are so many different options available. You get a choice between several different landing tours or you can take an air-only tour. All the tours have one thing in common, they fly over the massive Hoover Dam and scenic Lake Mead on the way to the Canyon. The air-only tours provide beautiful scenic views, but if you want a little adventure too, then book a landing tour. One of the popular landing tours flies you to the Canyon floor where a Champagne picnic awaits, and you can take a boat ride on the Colorado River too. You could land on top of the rim instead, and if you do, be sure to buy tickets to the Skywalk so you can walk out over the Canyon on a panel of glass. You can fly to the West Rim on an airplane too if you don't want to fly on a helicopter. The airplanes land on top of the rim, but you can still get to the bottom for the boat ride if you take a helicopter to the canyon floor. You'll see the same sights from the air whether you take a helicopter or airplane, the difference between the two is that the planes have to fly at a higher altitude. South Rim Tours From Tusayan Tours of the South Rim originate in the tiny town of Tusayan, Arizona, which sits just outside the park. You can fly out there from Vegas if you're not already near Arizona, and the flight will take around 60 minutes. There are no landing tours at the South Rim, because they are not allowed by the National Park Service. The South Rim is very scenic, and the tours are worth the experience, especially the longer tour that flies you over 3/4 of the entire National Park land. The tour can be taken by helicopter or airplane and it goes from the South Rim to the North Rim, then over to the eastern edge of the park, and then back to the airport in Tusayan. The sightseeing airplanes used on these tours take 19 passengers each trip and the helicopters can carry only six. If you're traveling with a large group or big family, you'll probably want to book an airplane flight so everyone can travel together. Get A Discounted Price Book online on Black Friday, and you will be offered the best available prices. Your tour will be booked in advance, and all you will need to do is turn up on the day.
