What Actually Makes Us Sick And Fat?

Health
Absorbing things around us is often the biggest education and eye opener. Just spend an hour or so, find a comfortable chair in a busy shopping center where there is a lot of foot traffic. You may still not believe that you are not dreaming, even if you pinch yourself. It's almost like two miniature tsunamis coming from both sides made of people of all shapes and sizes. Many of them have both hands in full use: One hand is holding a cell phone and the other hand something to eat, making sure to keep that body mass already well out of proportion.

Accepting things within ourselves is often a hard thing to do. If our body changes shape it's not the body doing it, it's us doing it to the body. As many studies and tests been made on this, it is very clear that processed food is the main culprit making us sick and fat. Any processed food we eat is not for the benefit for our health, far from it. The many ingredients in processed foods encourage weight gain and chronic disease.

Most of us just take processed food for granted!

After all, this is food, sold in most food outlets, well presented and fit for human consumption. It is also made for the purpose and advantage for business, its mass - produced and, most importantly made for long shelf-life, and the only way to create a long shelf-life is through certain ingredients which are damaging to our health. Those processed foods are high in sugary fructose, high in fat, refined carbohydrates, and low in nutrients and fiber, and this is a key factor in the global obesity epidemic. Would you believe what's on the labels on packaging? According to the food manufacturers it's all healthy stuff. The facts are: Processed foods are addictive and have all the ingredients to make us overeat and they as well encourage excessive food cravings leading to weight gain. It all adds up to extra kilos. Even snack food is often processed high in sugars, fat and carbohydrates and low in protein. According to research lack of protein in our food and snacks, especially processed snacks, means we keep on eating until our body gets the right amount of protein before we satisfy our cravings for food. Eating processed foods promotes insulin resistance and chronic inflammation which is the cause for many diseases. However, it is possible to have some processed foods that are healthy. For instance frozen vegetables, beans etc., butter and grass-feed ground beef.

These foods are high in sugar, fructose, and corn syrup!

Refined fructose in some form of syrup is found in almost every processed food you can buy. Eating diets high in fructose can have the same damaging effect as alcohol and other toxins because it's going through your liver. The more fructose food and the more total fructose you consume, the worse it is for your health in general. Processed foods containing dozens of artificial chemicals are not real foods. Preservatives, artificial colors, and artificial flavors could include as many as ten or more other hidden chemicals. Because of the many loopholes in regulations food manufacturers claim that artificial food additives are safe and by law it is not required to show as such on labels; but not according to independent research. The other thing to avoid are sodas, soft drinks, concentrated juices and "Sport" drinks or energy drinks; they are typically laden with sugars, fats, hydrogenated oils, chemicals, artificial colors, and lots of calories. You might get an artificial short-term boost but actually they will dehydrate the body as it works hard to get rid of all the toxins. They will not help or improve physical performance.

Avoid processed foods wherever possible!

As we know, there are no health benefits in processed food and therefore avoid them us much as possible, especially if you already have a health or weight problem, and want to take control of your health. The solution to improve your health is as simple as swapping processed food with natural nutritious real food. As it is with most foods, the closer to nature, the better they are for your well-being. Real natural food is the key to good health, processed food is not! What you eat can triple the risk of any disease, and yet it can minimize the risk plus you will gain many more health benefits.
