La Frutière is beautifully decorated with exposed pipework and whitewashed walls; it offers delicious meat and pasta dishes, with spag bol served in a glass jar being the most popular plate on the menu. The giant cellar boasts a long communal table where guests can sample more unusual wines and cheeses from all over France, a real must for food fanatics! If you choose to sit outside, the restaurant offers cosy onesies for those brave enough to face the chill. Located next to La Folie Douce at the top of La Daile, it’s impossible to miss and a must-visit for foodies in Val d'Isère. In the Resort La Grande Ours is considered by many to be the best place to dine in the resort. Excellent daily specials compliment the broad and delicious menu, and you can enjoy lunch with panoramic views over the resort from the terrace. Dinner has a more formal feel, and the staff are always super attentive and charming. Try their delicious onion soup and you’ll probably end up here more than once on your ski holiday. L’Atelier d’Edmond has two Michelin stars and is a true gastro dining experience, not to be missed – make sure to book well in advance. Try one of the tasting menus for a heavenly foodie journey in an incredibly charming bistro which offers an oasis of calm amidst the hustle and bustle of Val d’Isère. It’s number one on Trip Advisor with good reason, and if you are in a self-catering ski chalet every other night then this is the one place you simply must visit while in Val d’Isère.
