A Plan to Ease Arthritis and Pain

Health
When suffering from arthritis, the solution for pain relief becomes so strong that you are willing to do anything. How do you find your way through this grey area with such a variety of therapies on offer and to know which one will work for you? The fact is no one really knows, because every one's body reacts different to different things. No matter, how much or what drug medications you use, the cure is never complete. Treating arthritis, the traditional way with anti-inflammatory medication and pain killers cannot be called a cure, which most of the time causes side effects and doesn't cure anything. To start looking at the more positive side of it, just as a starter, if weight is an issue weight can make a big impact on the amount of pain you are having. Extra weight puts more pressure on your joints. Another positive approach, exercise gives more benefits than just weight loss. This can be a low impact exercise like swimming to flex your joints, stretching exercises in a hot shower or aerobics without adding further stress. In your diet include the right fatty acids, the wrong ones are harmful and increase pain. Regular massaging of joints can help stiffness, pain, and will improve motion. Supplements can also be of great benefit, although make sure they are the right ones, otherwise it can have a reverse effect. The cause of chronic inflammation diseases happens through the immune system, attacking joints and tissues. What makes the immune system go wrong to trigger inflammation is mainly food related. If not controlled, this can affect other organs of the body, such as cardiovascular disease, blood vessels, lungs, eyes, nerves etc.

A Good Way to Start!

Eliminating some foods and drugs that inflame arthritis, and following a special arthritis diet plan is an effective way to reverse arthritis pain attacks in your body. Practitioners advocate the use of arthritis diet which basically consists of special foods, able to elevate the pain and undo the symptoms of arthritis as the best way to curb arthritis and the pain associated with it. One major point to keep in mind is that food or any substance you eat or take has an impact on your arthritis symptoms. Food affects everything in the human body. You should not underestimate the power of an arthritis diet plan in reducing joint pain. In ancient times, just to illustrate, food was the original medicine. We find proof of that through many hieroglyphs in Egyptian tombs showing doctors healing patients with honey, herbs, spices and other foods.

Fighting the Cause of Arthritis!

Arthritis diet plan should contain high amounts of minerals and vitamins with plenty of quality protein. Incorporate foods in the diet that give low GI sources of carbohydrates to limit the fast release of sugars in the blood. You should always keep the intake of low carbohydrates and focus on consuming unsaturated fatty foods. Knowing what to eat and what to avoid is the most important issue of a proven arthritis diet. Avoid food substances that hinder detoxification and irritate your digestive tract. These include most foods containing dairy or gluten. Drugs that cause allergic reactions including aspirin be better avoided. Kept at check and be substituted with vegetables that give similar remedy without triggering flare ups. A balanced diet is very important for an arthritic as it provides a strong immune system. You will need to increase certain nutrients in your diet. Following a good arthritis diet plan, you can choose to consume fresh foods with these nutrients or use quality supplements to fill the shortfall. The headstone of a good arthritis diet plan is variety, moderation and balance. A variety of low-fat proteins, low GI carbohydrates, fresh vegetables and fruits are the fundamentals of a healthy diet. Such a diet has everything that your body as an arthritic requires in the right proportions - carbohydrates, vitamins, protein and minerals.

Carbohydrates and Proteins!

Low carbohydrates such as rice, bread, potatoes and pasta contain fiber which helps your body to remove toxins and stay regular. However, if weight is a problem watch out for the amount you eat, especially potatoes. Carbohydrates are also a good source of the vitamin B group, iron and calcium. This should only amount to a third of your daily calories intake. Obtain proteins from sources such as chicken, eggs, red meat, fish, and vegetarian sources such as soya, tofu and others. Amino acids which are the building blocks of proteins for the body are essential in keeping your body tissues healthy. Taking two portions of proteins daily will correspond to ten percent of your caloric intake is a good plan.

Fats, Oils, Vitamins and Minerals!

Fats and oils provide essential energy to your body needed for vitamin absorption. However, you should avoid taking saturated fats commonly found in margarine, cakes, pastry, and other sources of processed foods as it has cholesterol which in access is harmful to your health. Unsaturated fats from nuts, olive oil, avocados, and oily fish (from the ocean) and similar sources is a good addition. Vitamins and minerals are found in fresh vegetables and fruits which the body needs to keep healthy. They act as antioxidants in an arthritic's body, especially vitamin E and C. You should include vegetables in every meal you take and eat at least 3 fruits a day. A plan like this to ease arthritis and pain will overrule anything else available. You must remember it is not a drug that only fixes the symptom overnight. This plan will help the core of the problem, giving you the relieve of pain and extended live.
