PYRAMIDS – UNDERWATER STRUCTURES.

Where they really built so recently ?

I will always remember the conversation I overheard in the hotel at which the official delegates to an academic conference were lodged. It was a classic show of intransigence and high brow clashes over some of the popular issues touched in the Reader´s Digest essays. In fact it seemed to me as if they were sparring comments as a form of sport, but there was no questions about the sharpness and often vehemence demonstrated in the short and crisp replies. The sarcastic and petulant padding which surrounded their chosen words almost fell off in layers, as the impact of the essence of what they were saying touched the ears of lesser mortals like me. It made me think of Solon and the priest who spoke to Plato´s grandfather on the question of Atlantis.

“Did you mean ancient and superior civilizations or were you implying not of this world when you mention the people behind the pyramids as not being the ones we all think they were ?”

“You heard what I said. There is no way that we can take all these sudden eruptions of knowledge and monolithic constructions among people who appeared to just about manage to create primitive tools. I did not say ancient or superior intelligences. I am open to all possibilities, but no way will I accept the dates and attributions to the early recorded Egyptian periods.

“You mean they were not capable? ” “Exactly but let me finish….. There is every possibility that among them there were those who had inherited the knowledge and were able to influence the locals to allow them to lead and do things for them.”

You mean something out of a lost intelligent race or an extraterrestrial camouflaged as human?” “I am not prepared to go that far but no way are those early pyramids and massive structures all over the world of the same period as simply two thousand years BC. “

“Those are the dates arrived at through careful study and comments of the period if I dare to remind you ? ”

“I refuse to accept that. If a leader says he did this or his father and he finished it off it could be propaganda and power to the elbow. I do not feel there is enough evidence anywhere to suggest they are not from 8000 years earlier than that. You read what happened with those so called early Egyptian tombs with decorations of later Greek influenced tiling ? “

“Never heard of it although dating of monuments and tombs is not that easy unless it is clearly shown by historical records.”

“Exactly, and in any case why do we not know how these incredible stone mountains were built and every attempt to explain thrown down by common sense ?”

“I agree we are short of sufficient information to nail much down precisely, but the further back you go the more difficult it is to accept that they had the knowledge and experience to be able to perform those miracles “

“Perhaps they were if it comes to that because they appear to be beyond human capabilities and who is to say there were no people from other better developed areas capable of doing things differently ?. Much which we think has been built in one way could have been done in a way which we never thought about.”

“Like how for example?”

“Like for example by taking advantage of a sustained rise of sea levels over a period of say one thousand years and tackling each level as it rises to the next. “

“Come again ? And what advantage would there be to simply lifting them with a powerful hoist from the layer underneath ? - he stopped short----- I see, you mean the very large stones ?”

“All of them and especially the huge ones. The blocks would be brought by boat to the very spot where it was to be laid and simply dropped on the one underneath. They would be quarried and with the rise in sea levels almost to the doorstep of these, many could have been made ready years earlier and they could have been floated by scores of boats making it all seem like a lego exercise. “

The silence was awesome and I buried my head in the newspaper almost afraid to be seen to be spying on them. I was in fact recording it all. I heard grunts and slight coughs and wanted desperately to she what they were doing. Then I heard one of the most surprising things I had ever heard in any connected with Egyptology of which I was a one time Reader´s Digest amateur researcher simply driven by curiosity.

“Apart from the platform about which we hear a lot in the biblical texts - including the Babylonian stories, the rest is easy if water levels are rising and the whole population has been driven to the hills. Whether papyrus boats are capable of that sort of weight is something that has to be worked out, but given time and high labour turnouts, I am sure they could be built to support a few tons. The vessels which were found ceremonially buried next to the bases of some of the pyramids may have even been the ones utilized and they left them there dismantled because they might have wanted us to know how they did it. These boats seemed to be set to float and rise as water levels increased. “ There was another silence.

“But where do you get all this ? It is not your subject. You are in comparative religion are you not ?” he muttered something and said. “Do you know, I have never in my life heard of such an interesting interpretation of these things. It would explain a great deal and I have to agree that if water levels rose over a great period of time and reached the very top, it could have been done with increasing speed as the perimeter of the levels got smaller. “

“ Exactly and what is more, the very shape of the building appears in my humble opinion to be designed for underwater use. The pressure of the waters on either side would tend to consolidate it if the core was well prepared to sustain the weight and perhaps may not have needed to do so if the stones pressed into one another. The angles are correct.”

“That would explain why the Sphinx shows signs of water wear rather than wind and sand ?” “I think so but everything would depend on the base stone platform and how that had been leveled out to provide the near perfect vertical accuracy required . It also explains the strange structures of the King and Queen chambers whose slanting roofs appear to be umbrellas for water from top. “

“Very very interesting and in ancient records there are mentions of pre building platforms directed by some people they attributed divine powers, like the Elohim etc. – perhaps these are the Gods the Egyptians claimed were their founding masters. I often wondered why the platforms were essentials if we were talking about rock bases which did not need that sort of starting point. However , I assume that leveling rocks out over a large area would be more cost effective than simply laying down a large plateau for a tower to be built on as the one in Arabia recently discovered which is supposed to be built on one of those and next to a platform which is supposedly the site of the tower of Babel which never got built………”

“And how would the people be able to live on waters of that sort of depth ? They would have been miles away and the area is not that known for mountains. Do you think they may have also had support from other better mariners who provided other skills ?”

I think we are getting back to the subject of ancient keepers of knowledge and all that and mostly pure fantasy just to put me back where you found me. I am not falling for that. I do not know who told them or what but there is an implication that there were some mathematicians and professional builders from somewhere before everybody started doing it ? We do not know apart from the strange mummies found in different places that there was a time when people were different or much more highly evolved. It does not concern us however - what matters is that impossible monuments everywhere suggest people lived who could do these things and my feelings are that they did them in difficult times. “

“You mean in catastrophes like floods and meteorite strikes etc. ?” “Something like that and that man over there spoke to me about ceremonies of fire and sacrifice which took place every so many years in the area and perhaps it was part of the motivation for getting the community to build those layers knowing what would be seen in the end.” V – he stopped holding his hands to his head and said, “ I am enjoying this for what its worth, but let me fetch my friend who is a very well established academic in this sort of field. He is primarily a paleontologist and I once read an article of his on the troglodyte communities of ancient times like that those found in Turkey and India. If I remember rightly he said he thought that huge communities were driven underground to be able to survive and had every basic necessity worked out in these place for hundreds of thousands of people. He is sitting over there by the entrance. Hold on "

This man of the moment was a very tuned on permanently grinned individual in his late seventies who looked nowhere near it, but he spoke with a gravity that almost seemed to come from the grave.

“There are things on earth that have not yet seen the light of day as far as Mr. Public is concerned. It is just too embarrassing and some people call it Forbidden Archeology. Thank God we can now talk about these things without getting thrown out of the Academy” He turned to the man who had brought up the pyramid underwater theory and said. “ I think that you said that the pyramids had been built over a long period and that each level had been built at periods when waters rose to make it easy to drop each block into place. I had never thought of that, but it makes a lot of sense. I do know however from the people at AMORC which is the supposed Rosicrucian world centre in California, that their rites and beliefs come from the period of the building of the Ghiza pyramids on the plateau. The title was apparently taken from this place which used to be called Rostau or rosy cross. The high priesthood of the early Egyptians were aware that they would all be swept out by the rising seas and had been told by their Gods to build a platform over the cave networks in the area which had served to provide shelter for them during earlier catastrophes. These underground networks had been sacred to their ancestors and kept a great deal of material which demonstrated their level of culture before the disasters.”

The others were now silent and this man took the floor.”The pyramids do indeed stand on a plateau and it may well be sealing off the cave structures underneath. If this was plugged in by a structure as big as the pyramids, the main bulk of the country´s population could have taken to these caves which probably have openings in the distant hills and the Royal Families and the priests would have had access to the chambers within the Pyramid as well as administering the food being brought in by boat from far off areas beyond the flooded valleys. It could also have been a very reduced number of people if they knew the seas would subside within one generation. Water would not have come in under normal circumstances even if the whole of the pyramid was underwater and the pipe holes which have caused such confusing to present day scholars could well be spy holes for the priests to pin point star time and perhaps also bring in air to the underwater sections. The top few layers could have been above the water and boats tied to them at all times”.

“Did anyone ever talk about whether there was any use to the place other than a glorious watch tower?” The original underwater theory man asked with some excitement at what was an obviously well appreciated idea.

“It is held that it was not meant to contain burial chambers but real life living space for the upper classes and for the King and Queen to continue the line with the priests who apparently were the real fathers of all the children as opposed to the Pharaohs with their sisters. They knew of the dangers of incest and the next Pharaoh would be the first born male from the union of the high priest and the Pharaoh´s sister. In that way the father of all of them would be deemed a spirit or a God since the Queens were drugged and the Priests came in through false doors to do their duty. The Pharaoh just continued his own line with his own harem but none of them every got anywhere near the Throne”

“The second man of the first two who had originally been talking to the one who made the original comments on his underwater theory, suddenly said “ Oh, I thought I had forgotten something…… I think it was only Akhenaton who did not marry his sister and was different in that respect and his children would have been genetically linked to both. Perhaps that is why the priesthood who enjoyed the male line through the throne, would have turned him out and utilized their powers and superstition to turn the army on them. Perhaps they had never had their right to their children on the throne ever questioned. All pharaohs had their sister´s children sired by the representatives of the Gods without genetic problems and he would still be considered the earthly father. It sounds like what the Oracle at Siwa told Alexander the Great about his earthly and his real father God ?”

The newcomer volunteered to add – “Hawass of the Cairo Museum is not very keen on any of this coming to the foreground for some reason and especially anything that he does not propose first. I would love to be there when someone tells him that the evidence points in that direction. The second one of the two who started the whole thing asked “But surely water would filter through the outer blocks and rain on the people underground ?

“I doubt that even at high pressure anything would have spouted into the inside. The water pressure would in any case press those stones together and if water did come through it would simply go into the cave structures and disappear into the depths, especially if that had been taken into account when they set up the underground natural and perhaps carved chambers.”

The three of them moved away towards the entrance of the hotel in some sort of mental link but perhaps evaluating what seemed to them and me, a better approach to the subject then anything else I had ever read or heard. I kept my fingers crossed that the recorder had done its job and I am glad to say it did………

Although all my comments are original and based on personal research over the years I never found material which actually described the building techniques I began to realize were more than mere possibilities. Because of this, I venture to print below what I consider to be a very significant pointer in the same direction.I have never seen this before. If this scenario was a graphic presentation of what the people who came after the period of the Gods remember with respect to the receding waters around the top of these structures, it is possible that the recession of the waters, was a much speedier process (cataclysm elsewhere) which enabled these "islands" to form the base for the new communities of recorded Egyptian dynasties on the plateau.

Recent and very relevant press information.

The vast Pyramids of the Sun and Moon are different from those of ancient Egypt, being temples rather than tombs. They are connected by the Street of the Dead as part of an urban grid, the whole pattern oriented to the movement of the sun. The city’s very design contains the idea of it being “the birthplace of the gods” – where the universe was thought to have begun. Watermarks along the walls of Gómez Chávez’s passage have proved that the huge plaza above it was deliberately flooded to create a kind of primordial sea, with pyramids as metaphorical mountains emerging from the water as at the beginning of time. Thousands of people would have witnessed ceremonies re-enacting the creation myth.
