Because most of today's foods are full of extreme chemicals such as preservatives, dyes, and flavorings, they can cause allergic reactions. Many foods being refined, sugared, hydrogenated and contain sulphur etc. Changes as such in the food supply have caused certain build up in our body's immune system and liver. The word detoxification many years ago was hardly heard of, because the food was nutritious, natural and without preservatives. Eliminating processed foods and sweet beverages are the two most powerful strategies you can do in controlling your health. So, What Is Detoxification? A detox diet, which is often called cleansing diet removes toxins and poisons from your body. Such diet is especially to cleanse the liver, kidneys, pancreas, digestive tract and the blood by removing toxins from them. It not only eliminates toxins from your body but also purifies it and helps the body's function in general. So, the main goal of any detoxification diet is to bring your body back to a healthy and fresh state. The Detoxification Plan! The detox diet is a short diet plan, most often 3 to 21 days and helps your body to focus for better healing. They are not intended to cure any illness, instead, clear obstacles and allow your body system to run more efficiently. The aim of this diet program is to increase the energy levels of our body, and prevent it from any allergic reactions. By removing toxins, it stimulates digestive health, improves concentration and mood, prevents premature aging and disease, can stop headaches, and regains your body's natural ability to ward off illness. Mostly, a detox diet is a simple diet of low-calorie liquids. There are many types of detoxification diets which include the master cleanse diet. Such as juice fasting, smoothie and shake fasting, commercial cleanse program, raw foods, Ayurveda detox foods and brown rice diet. Detoxification diet programs eliminate foods that contain potentially harmful chemicals and allow only those foods that help your body's natural ability to rid itself of toxins. For example, dark green organic leafy vegetables are most preferred in the detoxification diet plan. Also, the overall food-intake is considerably reduced which ranges from a small meal detox plan to a fully-fledged juice detox plan. What Does Such Plan Consist Of? A detox diet plan usually consists of plenty of fresh fruits and vegetables, grains, cereals, pulses, and nuts. They include foods and drinks that are healthy as well act as building blocks of your body. It also contains antioxidants which protect your body from harmful toxins and at the same time removes toxins. It is known that many toxic substances in your body are removed through the liver, but most of the time the liver is already overworked. Therefore, the liver's detoxification process comes under stress and is unable to do the job properly. To get better understanding about a detox diet, you should keep the following things in mind: Detoxification diets are not intended to shed extra weight. Instead, it helps to remove toxins from your body. If you are on a detoxification diet, you should consume extra servings of fresh fruits and vegetables, as raw as possible, because cooking eliminates all the nutrients from them. Therefore, just slightly steam them so they stay crunchy. Organic fruit and vegetables are better because they do not contain pesticides which are highly toxic. Because there are times when it is not always possible to follow a strict diet plan every day, another option is supplementation. However, to make up any shortfall in your fruit intake a specific supplement will do the job. Although not just any supplement will do; all ingredients and fruits be natural. In addition, the supplement be liquid for easy digestion and as well for quick absorption into the blood stream. What Does This Basically Mean? For a healthy lifestyle the detoxification diet plan basically reduces the chemicals and emphasizes on foods that provide more vitamins, nutrients and antioxidants the body needs for the detoxification process. It also uses types of foods that are rich in fiber and water content, which helps to remove toxins through urine and stool. A detox diet should not only be followed for a few days, but some of its principles be continued throughout your life, which will help you to lead a healthy and fit life. My name is Josef Bichler.
