I have had an interest in radio-controlled cars for a number of years now, but my interest only really took off when I bought my first petrol RC car. The petrol-powered category is without doubt the pinnacle of the whole hobby. The cars are faster and more powerful and there are many more upgrades and alterations you can make to them. It is where anyone with a keen interest in radio control cars will eventually end up. When I entered this world, there was only one vehicle I was going to buy – the Marauder 30cc Petrol RC Car. Nothing else would do. Just one look at the Marauder’s photo and you can see that it is awesome but there is much more to something than simply what it looks like. I want to explain a little more here about what it is that attracted to me to it other than the looks. 30cc Petrol Engine The engine is one of the most important features of any car. It is where the speed and power come from. This beast has a 30cc engine which to put it into perspectives isn’t much less than a scooter but as it is so much smaller the speed it delivers is amazing. This engine delivers hard acceleration and an impressive top speed which makes it a joy to use. It has a 200m remote control distance and because of the speed it really does need it. 1:5 Scale When you start an RC hobby you generally begin with an electric car powered by chargeable batteries. These can be anything from 1:24 scale. The Marauder Petrol RC Truck is 1:5th the size of the real thing. In other words, this is a large vehicle. That helps to make it more real which is all part of the buzz. Ready to Run (RTR) Although many radio-controlled car enthusiasts like to build and tinker with their cars especially petrol-powered cars I prefer to get them pre-built; also known as ready to run. There is a few things to do to get it going but the parts assembled. You can of course play around with it as much as you like once it arrives. I like to tailor it to my tastes but not build from scratch. Upgrade to 4 Wheel Drive (4WD) The Marauder petrol powered RC truck comes as a two-wheel drive truck as standard, but you can get a kit to upgrade it to four-wheel drive. This is where you can tinker with it and upgrade it as you choose. I went for this option as I feel it gets better grip and acceleration. It is an off-road car after all. Upgrade it well and you can leave your friends for dust on the track. There is so much more I could go into, but I would be talking all day. I would suggest checking out this RC vehicle in much more detail. At Simply RC you can get a lot more information about the parts and dimensions as well as look at more detailed photos and even some videos. If you are looking for petrol RC Cars for sale, then this should really be top of the list in my opinion.
