For combustion of the fuel three things are needed fuel, air and heat. The air supplies oxygen that is needed for the combustion to happen. The air that is supplied for combustion is typically pre-heated by the flue gases. There are two types of draught fans in this scenario, the primary air fan and the secondary air fan. The secondary air fan is used when needed to ensure the fuel is fully combusted by adding additional air when needed.
