If you’re looking to buy a new rug or carpet you would be forgiven for thinking there is no such thing as fashion. Both are such a long-term purchase. When you think about it, a rug could quite easily last significantly longer than the purchase of a car or even a house. You got to flip rug after rug over until the pile got too heavy to move and then you’d move on to the next one. Now, there’s a much better way of buying rugs – it’s one of the ways in which the internet has revolutionised our lives. There is only one slight downside and that is the quality of the device you use to search. If you’re looking at a really old monitor you can expect the colours to be a little off. Otherwise buying carpets and shaggy rugs online is a great idea. For a start, you get to see the whole thing – admittedly in miniature, but then it’s better than seeing a corner because as you may know, the corner of a rug can be very different from its border. You can also compare and contrast the one you like with similar ones, but with slightly different patterns or colours. The trend for buying things from the comfort of your couch is not going to go away. You might still want to shop for clothes by going to the store, but for things like rugs, the online experience is superior to the real one. Just remember the colours might change ever so slightly. Good luck then with your purchase. Trust your own taste and if you want a bright orange shaggy run don’t listen to a soul who tells you otherwise.
