As a frequent traveler, I find that there are lots of little reason I love my stay at certain hotels. From the placement of the TV, to weather or not the sinks have two handles or just one. Most people aren't that picky, but that doesn't mean that they have to settle for less. So what should you look for? Let me tell you. First and foremost, consider the bedding. It's safe to assume that most people are looking for a good night's sleep when staying in a room away from home. Unfortunately, hotels have gained a bad reputation for not updating their bedding. So, make sure to check for newly designed mattresses and pillows, before booking. Hopefully, you'll find places with great bedding and pillows that you can't wait to sleep on. Secondly, you want to ask if they offer FREE Wi-Fi. Most hotels offer free, wired Internet access, but they charge for the Wi-Fi feature services. Also, when making arrangements, make sure their connectivity isn't horrible. It's also important to consider the cleanliness of the room. Some lodges have a very active cleaning crew, while others only have help come around once or twice a week, in order to save on costs. If they're currently having slow business and most rooms have gone unused for some time, there is a good chance that the bedspread and sheets haven't been changed. Then, there is the heating and air conditioning factor. Assuming that the hotel is modern, they should have A/C in every room, but you may not have access to it. Some places like to control the A/C themselves to save money, but if you are particular about your own temperature, it would be wise to make sure you can actually change the heat or cold air yourself. You may also want to look for particular amenities; for instance, free breakfast and a workout area may make your stay worthwhile. These things can relieve the stress of having to find restaurants and gyms around town. If you are staying for a number of days, having great features available on-site could create a much better experience. These are just a few tips for how to scope out hotels for your stay. You may have a few questions that weren't addressed here, so be sure to call ahead before booking. Most inns would be happy to ensure that you have a comfortable, satisfying stay. So, don't be shy, you'd be surprised how easy choosing the right room could become. Looking for hotels in Panama City, FL can be easy!
