Located at the far north end of the Phoenix metropolitan area in suburb of Goodyear, Arizona, is the Pebble Creek golf community. This gated community covers nearly 22,000 acres and is one of the most desirable retirement destinations in Arizona primarily because it offers a wide range of resort-style amenities for active adults such as tennis, hiking, arts and crafts, music, dance, and theater. However, one of the most attractive aspects of Pebble Creek is its two championship courses, Eagle's Nest and Tuscany Falls. Eagle's Nest The 18-hole Eagles’ Nest golf course boasts seven lakes and a number of tactically placed bunkers all along its greens and fairways that offer a challenge to any level golfer. It also has some spectacular views of the White Tank and Estrella Mountains that surround it. Though the terrain is mostly flat across all 18 holes, there are some subtle changes in elevation that create some interesting lies. Opened in 1993 and designed by noted golf architect Keith Foster, this is a course that’s easy enough for beginners and yet still challenging for golfers at any skill level. There is a pro in the house and a driving range. Golf clubs can be rented and carts are included in the greens fees. Tuscany Falls The 27-hole Tuscany Falls golf course is actually divided into three nine-hole courses: the Falls, Palms, and Lakes. Of the three, the Falls comes in at the shortest distance of 3,235 yards from the back tees. The course has rolling fairways and well-placed mounds throughout all three nines. Opened in 1999 and designed by well-known golf architect Dick Bailey, the Falls golf course is managed by the Robson Communities along with PGA Professional Bill Barnard, who serves as the course general manager. A pro is available at this course as well, along with a driving range. The greens fees include rental of golf clubs and carts. Being located in the surrounding Sonoran Desert, the golf courses in the provide a striking contrast to the neighboring landscape. Both courses can certainly keep anyone looking to retire in the Pebble Creek golf community active on the links! Keyword markdown because the phrase cannot appear twice in the same paragraph.
