Raw wood and beach chic is in Who says you have to live on the beach to take advantage of the cool, breezy décor style? Homes all over the country are expected to start putting up their beach gear. While all types of raw wood are in style, from birch to fir, if you find a nice beachy wood, you can use it to accent your other beach décor accents. International designs In past years, we’ve seen some specific international designs, like certain African patterns, or South American baskets. Shag is back with a vengeance Do you remember the shag carpeting crazy of the 1970s? Well, it’s back! Yes, many people feel it’s too early for this trend to return – or that it would always be too early for it to return. Thankfully, it’s not quite to the point where people are ripping out their carpet to install wall-to-wall shag. At the moment, it’s more popular when used in throw rugs.
