It may be hard to believe, but fall is already here! At Half Price Drapes, we’re always keeping an eye out for the latest trends. We believe in offering classic draperies that are well made and will stand the test of time, but we also offer some funkier options. We’re excited to keep an eye on these trends to see where they go from here. Bold patterns are in for fall We love patterns! In fact, we have a whole line of patterned faux silk curtains, as well as patterns in virtually all other fabrics. The big-time interior designers are saying that bold patterns are in for every room of the house and are being used in a variety of ways. One thing we always warn our customers about is resisting the urge to add patterns to every aspect of their design. A better, longer-term success is likely to come from using bold patterns in a few impactful ways. Raw wood and beach chic is in Who says you have to live on the beach to take advantage of the cool, breezy décor style? Homes all over the country are expected to start putting up their beach gear. If you’re interested in this type of coastal décor but don’t know where to start, we suggest beginning with another trend that fits right in: Raw wood. While all types of raw wood are in style, from birch to fir, if you find a nice beachy wood, you can use it to accent your other beach décor accents. International designs In past years, we’ve seen some specific international designs, like certain African patterns, or South American baskets. This fall, international accents are popular from all over the world. Half Price Drapes offers a huge selection of curtains, some of which have unique international flair to them. You can also take advantage of this trend with cool unique accessories found in international stores in your area or online. Shag is back with a vengeance Do you remember the shag carpeting crazy of the 1970s? Well, it’s back! Yes, many people feel it’s too early for this trend to return – or that it would always be too early for it to return. Thankfully, it’s not quite to the point where people are ripping out their carpet to install wall-to-wall shag. At the moment, it’s more popular when used in throw rugs.
