Every marketing strategy is not a home run — and much of what the gurus say “Everyone” should do or use is, sadly, not going to work for everyone. Here are a few examples of ways we lose business and how to fix them: This first example of how to lose business is one you’ve probably been on the receiving end o... (read more)

Life on the earth is an interconnected and interdependent phenomenon, everything is interrelated with each other, from animals to birds, humans, rivers, and trees, every object communicates with each other in some or other form; in fact, it is a universe of collaboration and interaction. Sometimes the communication is verbal; at times, non-verbal and quite a few times it’s subtle. Without communication, the life would have been chaotic. 5. People can see through the BS.
January 20, 2018

An email just landed in my inbox that fueled this rant. It was a partner promotional email for someone who is doing a new program launch. That’s fine, I get value from many affiliate promos from people I follow. My issue is with the way this partner framed the urgency piece to get me to sign up for the remaining webinar. I’m guessing this launch is PLF style, which means that there are 3 videos that provide content, know like and trust, and finally more story, content and then the offer. This partner did not come on board late, I know because she’s been promoting his lead magnets for this... (read more)

6. Whose Bio is this? And why I hope it isn't yours
January 20, 2018

It’s awkward to talk about ourselves. How to reveal just enough of who we are as a person and combine it with our rock star skills and expertise without bragging or boring people? And yet we must figure it out. Writing your bio may cause crabbiness or nausea, but it is an important part of your brand portfolio and must be done — in advance of needing it. You’ll use variations online, as a speaker, and when looking for a referral or an introduction. Waiting until someone asks for it will result in head banging and produce a mediocre version of you in words. Figurative head banging can... (read more)

An enhanced financial picture allows the parent company to generate revenue, grow and expand. The brand, which is structured to be easily separated from the parent company, may be sold. The brand may be segmented to increase the market by creating sub-brands which appeal to more specific consumer needs, further increasing the value of the brand. ... (read more)

21. Building up your brand id
November 02, 2017

The key to creative and effective branding of any program, product, service or institution is finding the right positioning--to drive the advertising and other marketing tools. It doesn't have to be complicated or weird. In fact, if it's good and effective, it's simple and will follow this "Rule of consumers"--"You are what you appear to be." This position, or 'brand' is really an identity (not in your mind but in your audience's)--a way people can sort through all the confusing information and summarize what they think about something. What do you get with a brand identity? Over the... (read more)

22. Brands and brand promotions
November 02, 2017

Let's make some clear distinctions at the outset that should be "no-brainers." Branding requires long-term consistent investment and nurturing. Promotions are about short-term and immediate conversions (sales). Brands are constructed with three main braids of steel for long-term stability and credibility. Strong and consistent "visual brand identity" logos, taglines, and marketing collateral (brochure, website, tradeshow, ads, etc). Superior customer/client services. Most importantly, the brand must consistently deliver on its promises or exceed expectations at every point of conta... (read more)

November 02, 2017

Organisations are now dealing with the much bigger challenge in term of branding. It has discovered that corporate brand has complicated and difficult rapidly changing fundamentals. Balmer (2001) states that corporate brands are cultural as they reflect the organisations subcultures. 24. The value of having to hand a corporate brand
November 02, 2017

A corporate brand is an intangible asset so it is difficult to copy as it is not a product from a production line. Corporate brand represents a logo or a slogan that is protected by laws, which are in place. Slogans or logos are more secure then the product it self as it is easy to copy a product but it is nearly impossible to copy a logo. Corporate brand helps achieving the economies of scope, which means it is less costly for a firm to produce two separate products than for two specialized firms to produce them separately. For example Nike has a slogan of "Just Do It" across the globe a... (read more)
