3. Cell Phone Stun Guns A Shocking Call.
June 19, 2009
A cell phone stun gun provides the stopping power of a traditional stun gun, yet is able to be discretely carried in your hand on your belt or in a purse because it looks just like an ordinary cell phone. Stun guns are a great non lethal form of personal protection. Stun guns use high voltage and low amperage to disable an attacker 3-5 seconds of contact from a stun gun will leave an attacker dazed and confused. The main drawback of a stun gun is the size, shape and they are easily recognizable. Because of this many people have been unable or unwilling to carry a stun gun for self defense... (read more)

4. Just When You Least Expect It
June 17, 2009
After having a very long week, I was able to put the flying ant/termite damage to my home and a/c repair bills from this past week in the back of my head over the weekend and hang out by the pool with some friends. A very close friend of mine was telling me that one of her co-workers had an altercation with another co-worker. She pulled into the parking lot at work and was sitting in the car for a moment thumbing through her purse when all of a sudden, a man that works in her building opened up her door and said some things I simply cannot repeat here! He basically tried to blac... (read more)

5. Mental Health Awareness
June 17, 2009
May is Mental Health Awareness Month. Some of us don't pay any attention to mental disorders since many of us aren't faced with these things all too frequently. We may only know about some of them through television programs or movies we might have watched. One that comes to mind is "Me, Myself and Irene" starring Jim Carrey. If you enjoy seeing comedies, this was a really cute one. A police officer named Charlie has a multiple personality disorder. It's a really funny movie, but it is a rather sad reality however, that these disorders do exist. "Never Talk To Strangers" starring... (read more)

6. Stun Devices vs. Pepper Spray
June 11, 2009
When I meet new people and tell them what our company does, they always ask me the same questions about stun guns, TASERS and pepper sprays. Therefore, I am going to answer the most frequently asked questions today. 1. What is the difference between a stun gun and a TASER? A stun gun is a handy device where you have to be within arms reach of the attacker because you have to touch them with the prongs at the tip of it because this is where the arching happens. A TASER shoots two electrodes out 15 feet away, and gives you an opportunity to drop it and run while your attacker is ... (read more)

13. Cell Phone Stun Guns : the Best Companion of a Working Woman
April 28, 2009
If you are a housewife and remain inside, most of the time, then there is nothing to fear, of course, most of the time. But you put your personal security at stake, all the time, when you happen to be a working woman. After all, the street-snatchers seem to be more interested in attacking a single woman, coming late in the nights, after a hard day's work, than anyone else.
Reports say that more than one-third of all the attacks by these robbers are carried out on women. And it is least important to say that the majority of such deadly attacks are targeted to working women. However, the ad... (read more)

14. To Protect The Innocent
April 16, 2009
As I told you in yesterday's story, my dad retired from the Army in NY. He had been stationed there when I was simply a twinkle in my dad's eye. My three older brothers remember living there very vividly. When asking my mom about living there, she told me about when a thief snatched her purse while she was on the way to the local grocery store, stealing her food money while she had all 3 of her kids with her. When we stayed there after our last tour was over in Germany, we went back to see the old place they had lived in. We were shocked to find that the door was ajar as the a... (read more)

April 16, 2009
Being born an Army brat, I was very lucky to have received my American citizenship at birth given that I was born in Landstuhl Army Hospital, Kaiserslautern, Germany (known to the Americans as "K Town"). My father was in the Army, and met my mom in Berlin. She barely spoke English when he met her, and therefore German was my very first language! My father received orders for Ft. Leonard Wood, MO, then we got sent back to Germany once again, and were stationed in Schweinfurt, Germany where I went to school until second grade. I recall having a German Tudor that would si... 18. Sexual Harassment Slimeballs
March 26, 2009
April is National Sexual Assault Awareness month. As I was checking out this matter, I read all about sexual harassment in the workplace. I encountered a bit of that myself once. It was when my husband's uncle persuaded us we should sell insurance with him because we were successfully failing at being realtors. It was long-term, home health care type insurance. The prospects had sent in a junk mail lead where signed for some info that they wanted, and we would go visit them at their residences. They didn't always read the fine print and see that we were bringing the info. Well... (read more)

21. Don't Be Left High and Dry
March 18, 2009
There are so many people that like to pretend they are security officers or armored guards to get away with bad things! The employee thought he looked legit, handed over the funds that totaled over $145,000! It was a pretty big church, so yes, that was a big deposit!
