The founder, driving force and chief dental surgeon at Southside Dental Implant Centre is Dr Glen Baker.
Glen graduated from the University of Sydney in 1994 and won the University Medal as the top student in Dentistry.
Glen has been a practising dentist for over 17 years and has undertaken additional post-graduate studies and training in implant dentistry, cosmetic dentistry and bite reconstruction. Glen has been performing dental implant surgery since 2000.
In September 2010 Glen completed an intensive, advanced post graduate course in dental implant therapy, run by University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA) and the Global Institute for Dental Education (gIDE). Of the 70 worldwide students who attended the course Glen was placed second and first amongst Australian Dentists attending. Glen graduated this course with 2 internationally recognised certificates from UCLA and gIDE.
The stated purpose of this post graduate course is - "The Master Clinician program is for dentists interested in evolving their practice to where dental implants are at the core of their patient care and to achieve the next level of competence through the teaching of the world’s best implant clinicians and educators".
Glen is a member of the Australian Dental Association and the St George Dental Association as well as the Seattle Study Club.
Glen is also an implant mentor for dentists in Wagga Wagga, NSW and runs an ‘Aesthetic Alliance Program’ from Nobel Biocare, a world leader in innovative restorative and aesthetic dental solutions. Glen travels to Wagga Wagga, on a monthly basis and offers implant services to patients in country NSW..
