Author Comment / Biography: Steve Bremner is a FIRE School of Ministry graduate with a burden for grounding people in the Word of God and seeing believers from all sorts of backgrounds live out and experience the power of the Holy Spirit in their lives and ministries.
Having ministered in North America and Europe, Steve has developed a heart for seeing the Church return to New Testament Christianity, and reach their culture with the pure Gospel of the kingdom and power of God. Steve ministered in the Netherlands for 2 1/2 years until God led him to move to Peru where he’ll be working primarily with fellow missionaries who run a food-distribution program, as well as teaching and preaching in local youth groups.
Steve believes that God will pour out His spirit of holiness, repentance and revival over Peru and he desires to be a part of it.
Currently he co-hosts and produces the bi-weekly podcast Fire On Your Head, with Dan Slavin, another F.I. missionary, which can be subscribed to in iTunes and other popular podcatcher programs. You can visit the site directly at www.fireonyourhead.com.
Steve’s personal blog is http://fierycanadian.wordpress.com, and it’s updated regularly.

1. The Laodicean Church Age Misconception
May 22, 2009
There's a misconception many evangelical Christians believe--whether subtly or overtly or just without really thinking about it: that the 7 churches John writes to in Revelation 2 and 3, are not just literal churches being written to, but are actually representative of church "ages", the last church...

2. Are We Really Living In The Last Days?
May 06, 2009
I hear this preached on and blogged on over and over again, and used to defend why current events are taking place in the world around us. As far as end times are concerned we’ve been living in the last days for over 2000 years; the promises and warnings that were given to Chris...

3. Freely you have received, freely give?
March 26, 2009
This is another misquoted verse, and sacred cow that might need to be killed. I've been thinking about a commonly misrepresented passage of Scripture lately as I've heard it misused a lot: Matthew 10:7-8. Most people think of it in correlation to finances or material belongings. However...

4. The Christian & File Sharing
February 12, 2009
This is a subject that really gets my irk up. It surprises me how many Christians have no problem with this. Nearly four and a half years ago, the Lord convicted me on this issue, and Biblically I could find no justification for file sharing and downloading mp3s to my hard drive, and copying CDs...

5. The Movie & Music Industries Need to Get Smarter
January 13, 2009
This blog entry will not be a review about the movie Get Smart, although my experiences with watching the movie and trying to LEGALLY put it on my laptop have shown me something about the movie distributors, production company, the movie industry and its studios, or whoever.
In the last year...

6. Divine Healing Questions Regarding Matthew 8
November 03, 2008
I'm reading through Matthew lately and noticed this chapter and details jumped out at me in such a way that I thought in a non-threatening way, I'd merely post most of the chapter here, and highlight and emphasize things and ask questions about it concerning the topic of, you guess it, healing...

7. Influence With the Gospel
October 13, 2008
I was once having lunch with the associate pastor of my church. There's this place less than halfway between my church and my parents' house that we always meet at called Stop A-While and in such a short time I've never seen a restaurant go through so many owners and so many paint jobs as this diner...

8. Divine Healing is Mechanical, Not Relational
October 13, 2008
Hey there
Upon reading through the book of Matthew once a few years ago, I came to some thoughts I'm going to share with you today that are still relevant in my life, and coupled with something I read in Spiritual Authority by Watchman Nee. I am gripped with an urgency to post some of the li...

9. Don't Be Like Samson
October 13, 2008
I'd like to focus on the anointing, and talk about doing things in ministry with or without God's presence. It's very easy to do things without His presence and be content and satisfied that it was a "success"-even though the Lord might not have been with it. I noticed something in reading J...

10. Is a Grain of Mustard Seed Really All it Takes?
October 13, 2008
Have you ever heard that statement "all you need is faith the size of a mustard seed and you can move a mountain"? The idea behind it whenever most Christians quote that comes from a misunderstanding that faith is not measurable, but we all have the same proportion. I hope in the next few par...
