Memorable Quote 1: I government big enough to give you everything you want is big enough to take it all away - Barry Goldwater

Memorable Quote 2: it can be proven with facts and figures that Congress is the only native criminal class in America - Mark Twain

Author Comment / Biography:
My name is Bruno Korschek and I currently live in the Tampa Bay area of Florida. I have a BS in Mathematics from the University of Delaware and an MS in Statistics, also from Delaware. I spent over twenty two years in various business and market analysis jobs with a Fortune 100 company and for the past twelve years I have operated a successful family bussiness that I started in 1998. For over 35 years I have been fasciinated with the interplay between freedom and politics, concluding that they are inversely related: the more power politicians gain, the less liberty American have. This conclusoin and my other research led to the publication of my first book in late 2009, "Love My Country, Loathe My Governmnet - Fifty First Steps To Restoring Our Freedom and Destroying The American Political Class."

June 04, 2011

104. Solving Economic Problems Without Using Fancy Economic Theories
June 03, 2011

Given the recent spate of bad economic news and statistics, there is now no doubt that the American political class has failed miserably over the past few years when it comes to operating a healthy, growing economy. All of the recent political class economic programs have been ineffective relative t...

105. The Ever Growing Mexican Drug Cartel Terror Threat - A Potential Short Term Soluttion
May 28, 2011

Terror is a word that can take on various meanings and different connotations. Unfortunately, given the 9-11 terrorist attacks, we have tended to think only about Bin Laden-like terror threats over the past ten years. The reason why is clear: Bin Laden and his followers, in whatever form they took, ...

106. Did You Know? And Possibly, Do Not Want To Know?
May 28, 2011

107. Why Unfairly Overtaxing The Rich Is Often Stupid
May 15, 2011

A couple of disclaimers up front. The author is not close to being rich. His family pays income taxes to the Federal government at the 15% tax bracket level. The author's family lives in a typical suburban, middle class home of about 2,000 square feet. The author drives a seven year old vehicle and...

109. What If The Political Class Had Actually Implemented An Energy Policy 30 Years Ago?
May 14, 2011

It is usually not constructive to look backwards in time and wish something had happened. The fact is, that "something" did not happen and it is better to deal with today's reality and look to the future than to fret about what could have been.

However, with the death of Bin Laden, it is te...

110. What Were They Thinking? How Not To Solve A Problem
May 08, 2011

Most Americans were thrilled and thankful for the successful Navy Seal military operation against Bin Laden. It was a job well done. It was also one of the few times where the political class, and the government it runs, successfully addressed a real life problem and executed a real solution based o...
