Memorable Quote 1: Truth does not fear investigation!

Memorable Quote 2: Jesus is the Way, the Truth and the Life!

Author Comment / Biography:
I honestly can’t remember not being a Christian. I recall getting a Catholic Bible from my Uncle John and Aunt Marie with my name printed in it by the manufacturer on the opening page. Being presented with this tool was profoundly influential in my life.My mother is a Catholic and my father was a Protestant immigrant from England who came over by ship to Canada shortly after the Second World War. My dad had chronic bronchitis and because of that his mother and father brought the family to Canada to escape the dampness of England, to help his breathing, not to mention a better life that would be available in North America.

My parents were very good to me and my younger sister Laura, and provided us with as much as they could, even when times were tough. We were blessed. My father always wanted to keep us kids very busy and put us into sports. I started as a speed skater and was good at it, but eventually gravitated to the sport of bicycle racing. I did well at it and actually made the Canadian national team. Cycling, to me, taught me discipline and goal setting.

When my career in sports was over, I did many jobs, but one was highly instrumental in my “awareness” of the creator and directly saved my life in a strange way. I was offered a career in a very large Canadian bank as a mortgage and loans officer. At first when I took the position I was very happy as the earnings were very good. Then one day it hit me concerning banking. We were in the business of turning down the loans! I bought into it for a while, but I was heading down the wrong path and with me being a “positive” person it was destructive. It would always hurt my heart to turn down a young couple’s mortgage application, and it would wound me inside. As a direct symptom, I was drinking and partying very heavily and compounding that with the stress of my “chosen” career, I was unknowingly on deaths door. Then the day came that changed my life forever. After a week or so of heavy drinking I felt very ill. I remember calling into work and telling my manager that I wasn’t feeling well and could not come in to work. My heart was doing some strange things. It was fluttering and I was losing my breath to the point of gasping. Then “it” happened. I was lying in my bed feeling extremely ill, but also fully awake and lucid. Directly to the right of me, as if someone was lying with me, I heard the words distinctly, “Take care of your body and I will take care of the rest”. In retrospect this would normally scare someone silly! However, it comforted me. Thinking back on that day I now KNOW that it was God speaking to me. The voice was neither male nor female, but it said “I” will take care of the rest. How amazing! I still get goose bumps thinking about that day! I have been spared! Praise GOD!

I have tried my best to uphold those words, as best as a mortal can do. Sometimes I think I could still be a better man, but as a human I am a sinner and I fail. The road to God has led me to the world of Christian Apologetics. By definition it is the defense of the Christian faith. I have been in total immersion of that discipline and have been ordained by God, through the National Association of Christian Ministers. I believe that I have been guided that direction by God, and I also believe that Jesus Christ is my Lord and Savior. Through him ALL is possible!

81. Has the World Gone Mad?
December 24, 2012

Where has honor gone? Where has common decency gone?

I caught the news and surprised myself that it took me so long to start feeling ill. But that didn’t last very long. A news report came on about a human male (not calling him a man), was caught on video giving a woman an upper cut, knockin...

82. The Trinity: Who Should We as Christians Pray To?
December 24, 2012

Jesus said in his words read Matthew 6: 9-13,

“This, then, is how you should pray: “‘Our Father in heaven, hallowed be your name, your kingdom come, your will be done, on earth as it is in heaven. Give us today our daily bread. …

This prayer was a direct answer from Jesus to his disc...

83. Buddhism: Harmonizing With Christianity?
August 26, 2012

I recently met by chance with an acquaintance of mine, (maybe slightly more than an “acquaintance”) and he asked “what is new with you these days?” and he was very surprised to hear my response…I said I have become an ordained Christian Minister. More surprising to me, he told me that he too was a b...

84. Jesus Existed! Testimony of Non-Christian Sources
August 23, 2012

Jesus had enemies don’t fool yourself. There is a crystal clear picture in the Gospels of a battle between Jesus and the Jewish religious powers. John 13: 22

13 When it was almost time for the Jewish Passover, Jesus went up to Jerusalem. 14 In the temple courts he found people selling cattl...

85. Should We Be Able To Do What We Want As Long As It Doesn't Hurt Anybody?
August 23, 2012

Have you ever heard this before? “People should be able to do what they want as long as it is between two consenting adults”? Or “Do what you want but don’t violate anyone’s rights”? I am sure you have. However to read into those two statements (and there are many more of that ilk) they can be very ...

86. My Needs Are Not Being Met! Let's Get a Divorce!
August 20, 2012

So many people in error think that getting married is something that will complete them. These people have the notion that they personally have needs that is their marriage partner’s responsibility to meet. Problem is with this understanding is its ingrained selfishness and the very person who expec...

87. What Is Biblical "Grace"?
May 21, 2012

The term “Grace” is spoken by Christians and has sparked much debate in the Christian community. This debate is whether we believers are saved by Grace, or saved by our deeds and works as the Roman Catholic Church teaches:

CCC 2010, “Since the initiative belongs to God in the order of grace,...

88. Are Christians Bullies and Hateful?
May 20, 2012

It seems to be a hot button issue that keeps coming out of the woodwork, and that is the supposed “Christian Bullying”. It again is coming up especially with the hyper sensitive political issue of the oxymoron “Gay Marriage”.

No matter if you speak of the Old Testament or New Testament, gay ...

89. Does the Bible Tell Us To Hate or Not To Hate?
May 18, 2012

This is my second installment of Bible difficulties examined.

90. An Inaccurate Value for "pi" in the Old Testament?
May 18, 2012

This article is the first in a series of examining Bible difficulties in defense of the “Inerrant Bible”

Critics have brought up 1 Kings 7: 23 as a “U-HUH!” moment whenever the subject of Biblical inerrancy comes up. But let’s look into the scripture and defend the Bible. First the scripture...
