Author Comment / Biography: Merry has been a student of the ancient mysteries for as many years. Her greatest joy in life, along with her grandchildren, is to learn about the spiritual. This is reflected in all of her work. ">Merry C. Battles LMT, has worked in the Healing Arts since 1977. She began her career working in a salon in Los Angeles frequented by Hollywood Celebrities. Merry learned massage at Louise Long Studio. Louise Long was a Physical Therapist who developed the art of reshaping the body and smoothing out cellulite in the 1930's. Many of the old stars of Hollywood and the current stars receive these treatments.
Merry has always approached her work as a healing tool. She has practiced the Art of Massage, Cellulite Massage, Jin Shin Jyutsu® (ancient Japanese Acupressure), CranioSacral Therapy, Reiki, and Foot Reflexology.
Merry is a Continuing Education Provider for Massage Therapists in the State of Florida. She teaches two introductory classes in Jin Shin Jyutsu. Her classes are open to all people. Merry has also been a frequent public speaker in the area for the past nine years.
She has published art, poetry, and writing in Sedona - Journal of Emergence, Connecting Link, InnerSelf Publications, Natural Awakenings, among others. Merry was a Blogger and Guest Commentary writer for the UPI (United Press International ) website ReligionandSpirituality.com for ten months in 2006. Her Christmas book, written and illustrated by her,"Christmas Meditations on the Twelve Holy Days December 26 - January 6" is a compilation of her 26 year meditation journey with the 12 Holy Days of Christmas. The book can also be enjoyed all year long as we travel through each sign of the Zodiac.
