Am I in the Will of the Flesh or in God's Perfect Will? I have been studying the Word of God and praying to the Lord daily since the prior message that I posted on this blog last month. One of the things that I pray for is to be faithful in everything that I do; meanwhile, I also have been working, finding another place of worship, spreading the Gospel, and working on my home. Do you want to know something, God has really blessed me no matter what. So, what does all this mean when it comes to doing God's Will? What types of seed are today's Christian Sowing? The things that you or anyone else does take time. It is good to spend time serving the Lord. Time is just like the money that you give in your tithes and offerings. God want a minimum of ten percent of everything in your life. It isn't time that God has given to you to do whatever you want. The time that God wants from you is time spent doing his Will. I pray that God will keep me in his perfect Will. Also, do you want to know something else, you can pray and study until you are on your death bed, and still learn from God's Word. You will never find the end of God's wisdom. One of the things I will never know is God's reasoning for the salvation of a man, such as I. There are a few verses in the Bible that come to mind... 13 Take fast hold of instruction; let [her] not go: keep her; for she [is] thy life. 14 Enter not into the path of the wicked, and go not in the way of evil [men]. 15 Avoid it, pass not by it, turn from it, and pass away. Proverbs 4:13-15 Take the Word of God, read it, study it, become captivated by it. Listen to the Holy Spirit, do whatever it tells you. Stay away from people who do contrary to the Word of God, avoid those people. If you have to be in the same dwelling with them just pass by them until you go to be with the Lord. 1 Blessed [is] the man that walketh not in the counsel of the ungodly, nor standeth in the way of sinners, nor sitteth in the seat of the scornful. 2 But his delight [is] in the law of the LORD; and in his law doth he meditate day and night. Psalms 1:1-2 You are living as the Lord wants you to if you don't constantly go out of God's Will. If you aren't following after people who are lost, try to fit in with the ungodly, you will be able to see God's Blessings. God doesn't want you to try to make sinners cry for anything, don't be snide to them, be as gracious as God was to you! Because if you live a life in the Will of God you will be able to be used by God. 11 But thou, O man of God, flee these things; and follow after righteousness, godliness, faith, love, patience, meekness. 12 Fight the good fight of faith, lay hold on eternal life, whereunto thou art also called, and hast professed a good profession before many witnesses. 1 Timothy 6:11-12 I don't think I should have to explain anything else, as I said, these are only a few verses that come to mind. Just think of how much more there are in the Bible? That brings me to a question that has been plaguing me now for a while. If a man is always doing the Father's Will, then there should be no problem with this, right? I am flesh, in me dwelleth no good things, Romans 7:18. Are You Really Sowing a Seed for Christ? The journey to travel, that is given to a man that trust Jesus Christ, is incredible. You may trust in Jesus but, due to things that have happened to you over the years of your Christain life, you have turned away from God's calling. If I were spending all my time sowing the seeds of Christ, will I have more crown's to lay at Jesus' feet? Will it be something looked on by God as a game that I mustard up, not doing for God but, for myself? Because I am a man and I needed the numbers of Souls to look good to others. The answer to this questions isn't easy to find but, I pray that every soul that is led to Christ with my assistance, actually gets to see him. I can't be sure that anyone that I play a part in leading them to Christ, is actually going to have that gift from God. Only time will tell, and not man, only God can enter into someone's life and make their life new. Usually, the people who anyone leads to Christ have a person to turn to in their times of trouble. Because, how will the Lord judge a believer for the crown's that they thought they had won and didn't, look at Luke 8:5-18? Verses 12-14, is another stark reminder that some Christians seem to just read over and count the persons as saved when really they aren't. It is amazing how the Bible is written, the bad is before the good almost every time. In verses 15-16, actually, talk about a person that has had a life-changing experience, the salvation of their soul. In verses 17-18, is a reminder of the choice that man's will is going to choose. For the souls that YOU thought you had won for Christ but didn't, Jesus tells us about them also in, Matthew 7:21-24. It is another reminder that Christ will tell the people, who thought they were born again believers, that he never knew them. Wouldn't you think they are people who had been witnessed to, and accepted Christ, but never really let him take control of their lives? Some other hard to look at verses in the Bible, 1 Corinthians 6:19-20. If you are a born-again believer, you are not your own for you have been bought with the precious Blood of Christ. You are to do whatever God through the Holy Ghost or Holy Spirit tells you too. You have to read the Word of God, that is one of the ways the Lord will speak with you, through his precious Word. God will let you know his Will through other aspects, but you have to read his Word faithfully. It seems that all Christians want to talk about are the positive aspects and not the negative aspects in the Bible. Look, this is the new testament, Christ is talking, for all believers to read. So is, 1 John 2, which have a stark reminder that every Christian should read and practice. Because in verse 4, it talks about a liar, and the truth not being in him. In verses 9, 11, & 15-17, it says if you don't love your brother & love the world, you are walking in darkness and the love of the Father is not in you. I am just reading the Bible and not other books that try to explain these hard sayings away. Listen to me, I have not arrived, I am not anyone, I am just studying the Word of God and trying to figure out how the Lord wants me to live my Christian life. Many other, Blood bought individuals, are doing the same as I, trying to live a life full of Christ. Am I in the Will of the flesh or of God? If you have anything that will make me rejoice, please share it with me.
