Train: 1 hour and 10 minutes are enough, at best (with no changes), if you take the Trenitalia Regional. With Eurocity, without changes, it takes 1 hour and 25 minutes. Changing at Busto Arsizio Nord, times inevitably lengthen to 2 hours and 29 minutes.
Bus: there are 8 direct connections that FlixBus makes available every day between Milan and Lugano. It starts from Milan Lampugnano station: times range from one hour and 15 minutes to 2 hours and 25 minutes.
Car: there are almost 80 kilometers between Milan and Lugano. Via the A2, you arrive in the Swiss city in just under an hour and a half. Instead, it is almost two hours, taking the A8.
Airplane: as in all Italian cities, there are no direct flights with the city of Lugano. However, from Malpensa airport and from Linate airport it is possible to easily reach Lugano. Very interesting, especially in economic terms, is the possibility of reaching Lugano with a private car driver.
