Hello, my name is Johnny Bryan Giles and I operate all of my businesses under a self-imposed HIT Principle. HIT is an abbreviation for Honesty, Integrity and Transparency! I have even went so far as to create a self-titled website http://www.JohnnyBryanGiles.com as a platform for public transparency. Ask yourself if any of these issues apply for you or your business; - I have criminal or civil issues that can cause potential liability to myself or others... - I want to clearly define my working relationships with others... - I want to limit my personal and/or business liability and risk... If the answers are yes to any of these questions then you may want to consider an transparency policy of your own. For me I was involved in criminal activities between 1998 and 2000 I plead guilty to 4 white collar crimes. Since I now offer services to businesses I believe that honesty is the best policy! I started providing my background disclosure to everyone who was deemed a potential client and 99% of those I shared my honesty with appreciated it and retained me. The 1% that did not kept me from a potential liability issue later on anyway! I also created a HIT Agreement http://www.businesshyperlink.com/HIT.pdf that I ask new associates to sign and submit to me as an additional measure to protect my associates and myself from liability or risk. After 2.5 years I stopped giving my disclosure to everyone up front and now only selectively provide it when I feel it is in my best interest however my website provides an open and transparent platform to provide information to the public. I cannot avoid my past and trying will only do more damage than good so I embrace it as a part of who I am and let my current capabilities, honesty and portfolio speak for itself. It is said that "HONESTY IS THE BEST POLICY" and I have found that to be very true. If you are up front with people they will respect you for it. I encourage anyone with any skeletons in their closet to crack the door of that closet and let others in to take a look. Most everyone has something in their past they are ashamed of. Since you cannot hide it embrace it and showcase how you are different. Admit your mistakes and people will applaud you for it. This way you reduce the claims of dishonesty when people do find out! This has worked for me and it will work for you! If you have questions seek the advice of an attorney! Johnny Bryan Giles http://www.expertbusinesspresentations.com 704-315-5149 cre8ivejg@yahoo.com
