When it comes to marketing on Facebook, you'll hear a million tales about what might be the best thing to do. You may want to try out everything you hear about, but truthfully, it may not be helpful to really get your Facebook marketing campaign going. Do not sign up for a Facebook account and expect the name of your brand to speak for itself. Even if the brand you are marketing is fairly well established, you still need to do work to make it even more popular. Failing to do this may result in you losing some of your fans.

Be sure that all of your online content is linked to and from Facebook. Link post summaries of blog entries from your site onto Facebook. Your Tweets are posted to your Facebook by simply linking the two.

Do not hesitate to share links to other sites on Facebook. If you come across an article or a video your audience will be interested in, think about sharing it on Facebook. It is best to avoid sharing links to website you are in competition against or you could lose customers.

Use Facebook as a customer service tool. Invite customers to send you questions, comments or complaints by commenting on your Facebook page. This is a great way to display your excellent customer service policies. Answer questions in details and offer refunds or new products right away to the customers who complain.

Do not forget to put contact information on your business's Facebook page. This should include the same of your business, your phone number and the address of your business. If a person is interested in what they see on your Facebook page, it's crucial that they have your contact information to learn more.

Offer something in exchange for signing up on your Facebook page. Having visitors register on your page lets you engage them in ongoing dialogue about your business. Offering them something, such as an entry in a sweepstakes, makes them more likely to register on your page and provide your business with valuable leads.

If you are replying to a comment that was left by a specific user, make sure that you tag the person in your post. You want to get people to come back to your page as much as possible, and tagging is a great way to get someone to return.

One strategy for turning visitors into fans to to maintain a fans-only content area on your website. A casual visitor just might be willing to start following you if that's the only way to get access to a particularly interesting part of your page. Be careful to only hide a small part of your content, otherwise you will lose valuable SEO.

Integrate your campaign across multiple platforms. You want your branding, your site's look and feel, to be consistent across your Facebook page, your website, your Twitter page, your YouTube channel, and so on. Consistent branding will make visitors feel more at home on all your business's advertising platform, and therefore encourage more use of all the platforms.

Make content on your Facebook page exclusive. People tend to love what they think is "out of reach." Try offering something valuable to your audience in exchange for them to "Like" your page. This is a win-win situation for everyone. Some businesses have offered free products like e-Books just for "Liking" their page.

Facebook is more effective if you use it as a connection builder, so do not use it the same way you would use a direct marketing tool. If everything you post is marketing related, you may lose a lot of fans. People tend to be more interested in your business as a whole, and they don't want to be feel like you are spamming them.

Encourage two-way communication with your customers. If a customer posts a great photo of your product or service, share it with everyone. Also take advantage of the Reply feature getting rolled out to respond directly to particular comments on an individual basis. Facebook allows for both group and individual communication simultaneously.

Use polls to engage your audience and get great marketing tips. If you see that a lot of people are not liking one of your marketing methods, it may be time for a change. This is a great way to find out what your users love and try your best to give it to them.

Allow your customers to rate the quality of your product. One of the best ways to encourage more interest in people who need your product is to show them how existing customers feel. Having your past customers share their experiences will allow prospective customers to make an informed decision.

Many people tend to follow "trends" they read or hear about in regards to Facebook marketing because they are lazy. This article goes beyond trends into tried-and-true strategies. You will find out that your marketing will be the best it can be by using these tips.
