The second section of the best-seller Crime and Punishment starts after the 7th chapter of part one. In that chap, the protagonist, Raskolnikov awakens at seven o'clock and decides to put his scheme of action he visits the the rich old woman and murders her. After finding hardly any valuable trinkets, which is a fraction of the wealth he was expecting to locate, he is met by The sister of the pawnbroker who is horrified to find her sister's body on the floor. Raskolnikov briskly murders lizaveta. After a few moments, he is horrified when he finds that the front door of the pawnbroker's room was unlocked the whole time. He briskly closes it, but soon several people knock on the door. He runs away and manages to go back to his home where he tries to fall asleep. Sleep eludes Raskolnikov who is nervous and scared. After hours of failing to fall asleep, Raskolnikov starts to examine his clothing for any evidence of blood. Raskolnikov is still carrying several trinkets he stole from the house. In a state of panic, Raskolnikov hides them in the room. Around twelve, His maid enters the room along with a porter. It seems that the main character is being summoned to the police station. While he is initially deeply concerned that he could be suspected of the crime, he quickly discards the thought. Raskolnikov goes to the police station. Raskolnikov is told that he has been reported by his land lady, because he has not paid rent in a lengthy time. Raskolnikov overhears a man discussing the murder of the old woman. He is extremely anxious and faints. This ignites distrust and an officer questioned him. Raskolnikov is finally able to leave the station. However, he suspects that the police know he murdered the woman. In the next chapters, He becomes increasingly more unhappy. Raskolnikov even discards the goods he stole. Be sure to check it out.
