Aside from videogames, one of the other things I like to do during my free time is to practice music production. Ever since I got into it, I never listened to music the same again. Now I listen to every song with a more analytical ear. I pay attention to the different sounds, how they’re used, and how they work together with the rest of the sounds and instruments. And being the newbie that I was, and still sort of am to this day, I was constantly on the hunt for new sound effects, new instruments, new softwares, new this, new that. I’ll admit I went a bit too far. I spent a lot more time collecting sounds than actually creating music. Is that going to help me become a better producer? Nope. In order for me to get better, I just have to start experimenting and creating. There’s no other way around it. The same goes for writing copy. No matter how many courses you buy, how many books you read, how many ads and emails you study, you’ll never improve unless you actually write. That’s why I didn’t include any email templates or any done-for-you and fill-in-the-blank emails in my How to Become an Email Titan book for you to copy and use in your own email marketing. I simply teach you the basic principles of email copywriting, show you some email examples in Appendix Two and Four, and send you off so you can write your own unique emails.
