know of someone who had been to over 30 HRCs' around the world and has a T-shirt from each one! I found this loyalism quite funny till the time I first stepped inside this place. I was invited for lunch at Hard Rock Café last week to try their Sizzling Skillets Festival. And yes, for the record this was my FIRST trip to any HRC. So I knew I have to form an opinion. And honestly I came back fairly impressed. Let me run you through the Sizzling Skillets Festival at Hard Rock Cafe. I had heard mammoth of praises of the Beef Burger here. So my first impression was to be based on this legendary beef burger itself. Soft, juicy and so yummy, this beef burger was worth every bite and calorie! And then started the sizzler marathon. We started tasting with the Herb & Lemon Crusted Grilled Chicken (Rs 480). It was served over smoky flavored vegetables with chardonnay fondue sauce, crispy corn strips & black bean mousse. Fondue sauce gave the grilled chicken that just little cheesy flavour rather than going full on cheesy. And the black bean mousse tasted a bit like hummus and was another star on the platter. Next up were the Makhanis: Chicken Tikka Makhani (Rs. 480) and Paneer Tikka Butter Masala (Rs. 450). Both of them are placed over flavoured Indian vegetables. Served with tangy makhani sauce, roasted cumin scented butter rice & kahchumber. You can give it a try. But Herb & Lemon Crusted Grilled Chicken was still on my mind. Beef lovers must try their Medallions of Beef Forestiere (Rs. 550) – fillet mignon steak (medallions) over exotic vegetables & BBQ onions, served with merlot wine infused mushroom pepper sauce, cheesy mash & potato wedges. You can OD on the mash and the sauce. Take my word for it! After eating all these items at hard rock cafe you will say 'HRC is perfect cuisine' and obviously it is the king of restaurants in Worli Mumbai. And for the ones who like their fish can go for the TEX MEX grilled prawns (Rs. 480). Smoked paprika & chipotle lime marinated grilled prawns on a bed of fajita vegetables, cheesy mash topped with pico de gallo, served with chilli cilantro sauce & garlic butter sauce. Unlike other sizzlers where two people struggle to finish one sizzler, there sizzlers are good for one person and will make you feel that you have had a complete meal. I like the way the sizzlers are priced, it does not intimidate you or make a whole in your pocket. You order do some la-la-la and there comes your sizzler. So if you work around Worli, you could stop by. They also have corporate lunches all through the week. And in my head it looks like suited up men and pretty corporate ladies lunching over good food.
