The directorate of higher education set up in the year, 1997. The independent responsibilities were given to looking after the college branch. The location of the directorate of higher education is B wing, 5 Sham nath marg, Government of NCT (National Capital Territory) of Delhi, Delhi. In 1998, the Government of Delhi was established the administrative department for GGSIPU (Guru Gobind Sing Indraprastha University). The wide range of specialization like commerce, medical, engineering, paramedical, arts, foreign language, computer science and communication, technology, humanities, nursing and polytechnic are the impart education in the colleges in Delhi. As usual, the colleges in Delhi city offer part time courses as well as full time courses and correspondent too. The directorate of higher education’s objective is to open too many colleges in various locations in New Delhi. To promote the reason of higher education and to generate the policy for higher education in various sectors like architecture, engineering, medicine, computer science and management. The major aspects are to release the grant in aids to higher education as per rules. Their aim is to grant financial aid for Delhi’s historical and old buildings. As well this will motive the students from the colleges to get placed in various corporations. The campus recruitment happens every year. The directorate of higher education’s main thing is to award the meritorious students in Government colleges who pursue the courses. The department ensures that the accounts are funded by the directorate which are all audited and controlled over by the ELFA (Examiner Local Funds Accounts) for the colleges wholly and partly. The directorate of higher education controls 18 colleges with the number of branches in various locations. Out of these 18 colleges, 12 colleges accounts are funded by the department and the remaining 6 colleges have given the grant in financial aid to expand their recurring and non – recurring expenses by 5% and 50%. The Objectives of GGSIPU (Guru Gobind Sing Indraprastha University): The objectives and the main aim of the GGSIPU University provided to promote the students career life, 1.To promote the higher education emerging in various locations in various sectors like architecture, engineering, medicine, computer science, law and management as said above. 2.To grant the no obligation certificate to the higher education institutions for seeking affiliations with GGSIPU (Guru Gobind Sing Indraprastha University). 3.To grant in financial aid to expand their recurring and non – recurring expenses by 5% and 50%. 4.To complete the construction of Dwarka campus of the university for the possession of the land at the university campuses. 5.To grant financial aid for Delhi’s historical and old buildings. The world’s largest higher education systems are taken care by the department of higher education even after the China and United States. They are also taking care of various schemes initiated growing the enrolments in the school by paying the dividend. The directorate of education offers the financial help in the scholarships, loans and in many other forms. They also encourage international co-operation in the higher education. The literacy and the department of higher education are responsible for the development of the students in the country. This development will build the strong foundation in the student’s educations.
