MOBILE PHONE RADIATION MENACE

Consumer,Environment,Electronics
Mobile Phone Screens – an underestimated threat.

A lethal companion it seems, but help is on the way. Throughout the centuries , industrial innovation and fashionable pursuits have brought disease to the front door of the family home and it is not difficult to go back as early as the last century and see what the mills and the processing plants did for the hapless survival seekers who got offered no more than bread and dust. But can we talk about such an innocent activity as carrying a mobile phone around - a health hazard ? Apparently, yes ! - and like the climatic change, potentially more devastating due to the number of users, than anything so far seen in the world of addictive gadgetry like our television sets. In face the mobile phone has taken over some awesome industries, like the publishing world, television itself and land line telephones that do not radiate at all. All, increasing the risk of harmful radiation in doses hitherto never imagined. In the last few years, ravaging cancers of the face and deaths associated with brain tumours , have brought State Authorities in the Western world to have to admit that there is an affinity between the disease and the mobile phone. The health risk from electromagnetic radiation focused on areas of the body, referred to the old fashioned, low emission, models, but today the large screens and powerfully structured mobiles are almost full computers in themselves. The radiation is now measured in terms of twenty times as much as hitherto realized.

The banality of some modern industries.

The very idea of creating such novel and in the main unproductive industries with little research behind them to prepare a bored world for its consequences, is already beginning to look like irresponsibility, but like it or not, these things will stay. And why ? - because democracy is now a relative factor disassociated from public interest and big money as we can see in the pharmaceutical industry, can bite at lowly incomes with a force that even the most ethical parents now find hard to deter. If a robot came about that could take the child to school and met and chatted with the other robots there, it is more than likely that it would sell to those least able to afford it and purely because they could not be seen without it. More than likely additionally, because the schoolmates would use it to further denigrate those who appeared not to be able to afford the things they took for granted. Those robots are being manufactured today in Japan for the home market. One is called Pepper. In previous generations, even what could be shown on the public screens was monitored because of the lack of real information as to what the end results of such liberality could result in. The political and judicial sector were the most interested in this form of suppression, but as experimental laxness proved positive, restrictions were removed - gradually. Today, this precautionary but protective element of democratic right, can be handled with great sensitivity and much influence could be brought to bear on giant industries that provide measures easily seen as ultimately destructive. Modern youth in many countries, particularly in those with low interest in ethical standards, can already be seen to be way behind what was taken for granted as alert, self motivating and inventive minds. To the contrary, the standards of practically all fields of endeavor have plummeted to the point that they seem to be practically impolite to improve them. Inattentiveness and lack of interest in anything too serious, is not just the malady of the rebellious young, but one which threatens the very efficiency of private and public industry with the resultant drop in investment as basic labour becomes impractical and experienced material, too expensive. Automation takes control and side industries of mass production aid and abet the manufacturing process of artefacts and phobic creations that to date even threaten the psychological capabilities of most.

A radiation barrier to the rescue.

However, the disturbing factor is not the change in social behavior and the exclusively internet contact of the vulnerable that is now causing alarm, but the very lethal nature of things as simple as the constantly used mobile phone screens with all the functions that reduce an individual to a compulsive fiddler. Even the notorious ear phone, heavy metal addict, wandering the streets in a daze, appears to be going out of fashion as thumb prodding mobile zombies stare at small screens that are better watched as large ones in their own homes. The electromagnetic doses in the eyes and ears, as functions change, penetrate deep and if they do not cause immediate damage, they prepare the way for changes that could spell near future disasters. These radiating instruments can even affect the very sterility , it would seem of anyone carrying them in trouser pockets. The claims made by some phone barrier cover manufacturers are not at all convincing in so far as they have been seen to prevent radiation at a very low level of the scale whilst reducing the level of the signal. There is now one on the market however, which is proving to stand up to its claims of a reduction of over 90% of the harmful emission. If it is true and it appears to be backed by heavy science and powerful investors, then its low cost should enable most mobile users of large screen models to get one rather than face the stress. The secret, it seems is in the aluminium/lead alloy employed in the makeup which makes it an efficient faraday cage whilst retaining the necessary relative lightness. The cover models that can be seen on the screen, appear to simulate washable material. The double layer of metal and acrylic one would assume also affords a form of protection against damage caused by accidental dropping.

Market surveys

Apart from three or four anti- radiation covers that come up on the browser from different manufacturers and with different claims, the critical studies by independent analysts make no comparisons - concentrating on the claims made by each individual producer . Otherwise, information on these patented products is scarce. The scientific profile on at least one of them however, is impressive - claiming an almost 98% reduction. Additionally, the recent declaration by the world health authorities of the incredibly high bacterial content of the mobile phone screens, (30 times that you would find in your w.c.! ), suggest that the idea of a permanent fancy casing on the mobile is a sensible solution to all the threats. It is easier to disinfect with the occasional wipe of the delicate and expensive screen and concentrate on the tough cover for the purpose. Whilst enclosed the screen maintains its disinfection. This idea at least, appears to have hit the market just at the right time and promises the opening of a new and secure future for the mobile phone user. The new wave of alarm on cancer causing agents has spread rapidly into many fields and particularly in that of cosmetics where newly discovered provokers have to date been indispensable aspects of popular formulas for deodorants, skin creams and antiperspirants. Cancer is frightening enough, but not taking steps to avoid it when the answers are there, is as irresponsible as betraying the very family.
