- In addition to having a GPA of 3. 0 or higher, the accelerated nursing degree programs require that there is a prior degree because the program is in fact an upgrade of the degree you witout a doubt possess. Once again, this program is not if you have no previous college education, but instead is designed for those that already have prior educational encounter.
- You will be recommended to complete a course study that relates to the field of nursing, for example, studies with biology or psychology. You may have already completed such courses in your previous degree education and therefore the credits that you have already earned is going to be applied to your current program, thus avoiding you from retaking the course.
Different programs can have varied requirements and acceptance policies; however, this does not signify that one program surpasses the other. It is just the way of different institutions thus, it is your responsibility to decide which nurse you want to become, thoroughly research each program and then select the one that best suits your needs.
There are quite a few programs that offer excellent choice for a great accelerated nursing degree. Ensure the program you choosed enroll in, will provide you with all the assistance and experience you need in order to be successful in your new career of selection. You should also ensure that you are successful in doing all your National Council Licensure Examination for Registered Nurses (NCLEX-RN), as this is a pivotal part of pursuing your nursing career.
