There are days when things just don’t go on our way. Regardless of its nature, there are just some situations wherein the odds are against us. All of us go through to these things once in a while, but it’s how we accept these letdowns that set us apart from others. |
Some people blame it on bad luck or negatives vibes. They content themselves by believing that there are super natural forces that aid their failures in their endeavors. People from Asia are particularly keen in believing on such unseen forces. In order to repel such negativity, they perform rituals to counteract certain dismays from happening.
The Chinese are very fastidious when it comes to luck. They have a lot of eccentric habits that is said to ward of bad luck. Like in the way they arrange their furniture in their offices and households. They must precisely put each fixture and face it in a particular direction in order for it to be “lucky”. A lot of organizations have adopted this kind of practice like the Melbourne Dodgeball Centre and other known establishments in Melbourne.
Players also perform their own rituals before and after each game. Dodgeball league players are notably superstitious, they usually “talk” to the ball before each game telling them all sort of things.
One anonymous player said “There’s nothing wrong in believing on such things, we don’t harm other players and it doesn't makes the sport bad. It’s just a matter of choice.”
But for some people, they don’t believe in luck. Instead, they deem on circumstance and facts. They see that all the things that happen in our lives, whether positive or negative, are due to our previous actions. Success depends on how hard a person tries and perseveres in his goals. Combined with the elements such as patience and perseverance, they believe that everything will go your way.
But I personally think that praying to God and doing everything to achieve certain aspiration is all that it takes to reach success. Sure there are times that we might fall, but these are just things that will help us grow stronger and wiser. We must consider such events as stepping stones towards our success. However, we must also remember that we must not solely depend on our own capabilities because divine intervention is always imminent. We just have to learn and live with that, nothing too fancy about it.
