For many social diseases, a urine and/or blood sample will be collected and tested. If a person displays symptoms of herpes, a swab of the symptomatic area may also be taken. Similarly, if a person displays a sore consistent with those caused by syphilis, a swab of the fluid from the sore will be obtained. Men who engage in receptive posterior sensual activity may be asked to submit a posterior swab. Knowing whether one has a social disease is terribly important for one’s sensual health.
