There is a push out there for the entire planet to go green in order to save our world and our species. And while we may not ever succeed in getting the gas-guzzlers off the roadways, we can all make the choice to do simple things to go green, like growing an organic garden. Here are some general organic gardening tips you can use. When you boil or steam vegetables for cooking, let the water cool and then use it to water your garden. Not only does this reduce your overall water usage, it provides a useful source of nutrients to your place. Your potted plants, especially, will appreciate the extra nutrients provided by your vegetable water. If you want to grow roses, you should look into the different species. If you are a beginner, select a kind of rose that does not require a lot of maintenance. You can also get into competitions with extremely delicate roses. The thickness of a detergent container will make this a very sturdy watering can and the handle will allow you to use it with ease. Even if you think you will remember which plants are which later, tag your plants properly from the beginning. Plants can look very different after just a few weeks. Write plant names on flat rocks with a permanent marker in a decorative way, and lay them next to each plant so that you can save yourself from confusion down the road.
