Anytime you do something for your business, you have to think about branding. Branding your business has to do with establishing a name for yourself in the community. Your logo, the colors of your company, and all of the communication and marketing is part of your brand. It is no different with your commercial architecture. It's a good idea to work with an architect that specializes in commercial architecture in order to ensure that your brand is part of the building itself. There are a number of companies around the world that are known for the building that they are in - and yours should be the same. When people see your building, even before they have seen the signage, they should know who you are and what you sell. One of the most well-known designs in the United States is that of Twistee Treat. It's an ice-cream stand in the shape of an ice-cream cone. It is branding at its best because people drive by it, instantly identify with it, and know that they can go up to it and get an ice-cream cone. You may not want to go quite that far when you look into commercial architecture, but you do want a unique design. There may be plenty of commercial real estate properties available for you to buy, but these aren't personal. They are generic designs that will require a significant amount of remodeling if you plan to ensure that the building is effectively branded for your company. When you work with a professional architect that has experience in commercial architecture, you can sit down and have something designed specifically for you. The architect will ask you about your company, what your products and services are, as well as what you will be doing in the building. Whether you are using it as corporate headquarters, a main kitchen, a retail store, or something else will play a major role in terms of what designs are used. You will want to consider your needs and wants for the inside of the building as well as the outside. Think about the storage space that you need as well as office and retail space.
