Yesterday, I saw this post in a Facebook group I’m in. |
Hey guys. I've been working on affiliate marketing for the last 10 months. I have signed up for various courses and "systems" I've spent 1000's $$$ jumping from the one thing to the next. I've tried drop shipping, but eventually came back to Affiliate Marketing. I'm starting to get really annoyed and frustrated. Mainly due to my own choices. I always seem to think that what I'm trying to do is too simple and that no one would buy it, and then I jump around to the next thing. It feels as if there is always a better course or product out the next day that will trump my efforts. Any advice on sticking to something simple that actually works? I mainly get paid traffic.
If I were to answer his question, my reply would be two things:
1. Nothing is working for you because you’re not sticking to one thing. So you kind of already answered your own question. Like a friend once told me, you’ll see the results you want as long as you stick to your craft. Get rid of that shiny object syndrome.
2. What do you mean by, “Trying something too simple and that no one would buy it?” Most of the time, if not all, simple is the best way to go. If you make things complicated for yourself, you’re making it complicated for your customers too, which will lead to less sales.
3. My advice on sticking to something? You simply just do it. And instead of learning something new, focus on having a deep understanding of your craft. Become a master at it.
In the case of affiliate marketing, it’s no different than having your own online business selling products. The only difference is, the products aren’t yours. With that being said, the best way to sell your products still remains the same.
By good ol’ fashioned email.
Yes, I’m saying that the email writing methods I teach in How to Become an Email Titan works with affiliate marketing businesses too, given that you have an email list (Which you should).
If you don’t, my book also has a chapter dedicated to teaching you how to build a nice, responsive email list. Though, they’re not exactly fast methods. But what would you rather have, a huge email list where almost no one opens your emails, or a decent-sized email list, not too big, but the engagement is high?
It’s your choice at the end of the day.
If you’re ready to buy the book, you can always find it here.
