If you've been following along, then you know one of the most important things to do when building towards network marketing success is to set meaningful goals for yourself. Another task to complete before kick starting your network marketing business is also critical: pick a number between one and fifty. Now, this is not an arbitrary number. This is a very specific number that will represent the amount of prospects you honestly intend to contact on a daily basis for the next year, and preferably for the rest of your life. Make certain that the number you select is realistic given your other commitments, responsibilities and the number of hours you can actually work on your MLM business. I recommend that when you sit down to get going, you attempt to contact four people per hour. You do this because a significant percentage of folks will not be reachable in any given hour, on any given day. And keep in mind, the number you select should reflect those prospects you actually intend to contact rather than just “attempt” to contact. Which means, after an initial call, and they are not there, keep calling until you reach someone. This number is critical. When I first started in networking, my initial goal was five contacts per hour for six hours a day, five days a week. My mentor told me that if I approached thirty people a day I would actually sign up 5% or one a day based on a twenty-day month. He was absolutely right. Above all else remember this: sales of any kind are strictly a “numbers game.” The more people you approach, the more people will sign up as distributors. The more personally sponsored distributors, the larger your group. The larger the group, the greater your sales. The more you earn, the more people sign up. And the cycle continues to repeat itself. Anyone who preaches otherwise is wrong. Period. End of the story. There are no lucky short cuts because MLM, like all other sales, is based solely on numbers. If you're wondering how to find those 30 people per day, then watch for my next post - it's simple!
