4. HRW: Myanmar Military Burned Hundreds of Rohingya Buildings

The government and military of Myanmar are responsible for burning down hundreds of buildings in the Rakhine State during the past three months as retribution for militant attacks on security forces, according to a report from Human Rights Watch.
Since October 9, government forces are responsible for burning down at least 1,500 buildings, in some cases torching entire villages and forcing thousands of ethnic Rohingya Muslims from their homes.

5. Rohingya-laden Boat Capsizes Near Bangladesh, 29 Missing

A boat packed with 35 Rohingya Muslims, who were fleeing violence in Myanmar and were aiming to sneak into Bangladesh, capsized on a river leaving at least 29 people, mostly women and children, missing.
Several sources, including some fishermen and a survivor of the accident, reported that the boat capsized because it was loaded beyond its capacity.

21. FBI: Hate Crimes Against Minorities Increased in 2015

Hate crimes against minorities rose 7 percent in the United States last year, the FBI reported Monday, with incidents targeting Muslims jumping 67 percent.
Hate crimes escalated to 5,850 from 5,479 last year, according to the bureau's latest data.
By contrast, hate crimes against Muslims jumped to 257 from 154 in 2014.
