Apple Company announced that it would produce a smart phone and its name would be iWatch. After its announcing, some companies from other countries say that they have registered “iWatch” several years ago. Therefore, Apple is facing a big problem. It has filed trademarks for the name iWatch across Asia and Latin America, but it seems that Cupertino will face trademark issues in the European Union and the United States. As it turns out, “iWatch” is already trademarked by two separate companies. MacWorld UK has announced a company named Probendi Inc. has had a trademark for the iWatch name in the European Union since 2008. But Probendi isn’t in the smartwatch market. It uses the word “iWatch” as the name of a mobile streaming app. On the other side of the ocean, the New York Post is reporting that a company called OMG Electronics has filed a trademark on “iWatch,” and plans to sell a smartwatch under that name in the United States. So Apple meets a problem and it has to name its smartphone another name. But who knows? Maybe it has super power and it will continue use this name. There are several examples of this. Before iphone’s launching, Apple met similar problem but it bravely face the problem and finally solve it successful. Maybe this time Apple will use more energy to make “iWatch” its own trademark. We should just wait and see. The only sure thing is iWatch will not be launched soon. What can we do? We could just stay at home and enjoy our devices such as laptops, smartphones etc. We need a video player. I prefer Blu-ray Player Software.
