2. Mini-Conglomerate' Rigby Group Acquires Bournemouth Airport

The privately-held business Rigby Group has served notice of its intention to become a “significant player” in the “vital regional airports” market by purchasing Bournemouth Airport from Manchester Airports Group (MAG) for an undisclosed sum. Loganair has unveiled plans for a new crew base at Durham Tees Valley Airport that it has said will create 12 jobs. 8. Stobart Air €25 Million Investment To Create 60 New Jobs

Stobart Air, the Irish airline that is responsible for operating Aer Lingus Regional services under a franchise agreement with Aer Lingus, has confirmed that it will invest €25 million into an expansion of the business that will also create 60 new jobs. The company formerly known as Aer Arann said that it was looking for 24 pilots and 36 cabin crew.
