Lot's of us are on an assumed path that hopefully will take us to wanted places but these paths in fact might be evaporating and just not materializing in reality. While you can't disengage entirely from wanted goals, once in a while in might be worth it, certainly as an exercise to let it go, as the title of the new James Bay song says and just put out a blank page on a broad area and bring just about every possibility though of already and not yet contemplated as being allowed to come into view at least at the nascent phase if not a potential trial basis. In the work sphere, for example, people would work for decades for a company, with adequate salaries and some advancement and that model did work for a long time but might be less and less available to borderline non existent yet people still hold tightly to the view that this is something that should be pursued avidly and relentlessly. By putting out a blank page, you are not necessarily discounting your talents, but potentially putting them out over a wider area, casting a wider net maybe, stretching long held beliefs that the wanted paths have to materialize into preconceived pathways and all your options and opportunties will somehow appear on this road exclusively. In a way this can be throwing caution to the wind, as having set beliefs as to how things should be, can become a cautious approach that must work, but in fact just might now be working. For sure, lots of real options, viable opportunities that might have been a decent fit for you, are lost by looking for so much precision on the page, that in fact now it might be worth just blanking the page and giving all that much more a chance to materialize into something real and viable for you. You can start by being less precise, not looking to meet people with a certain shade of blond, but maybe finally blanking out on hair color altogether at least for now, and you can always go back to an already filled into page if this does become to panicky a movie for you, but consider the blank page at least here and there, free up your thinking a bit, as it is a big wide world out there and your perceptions might need to adjust to that.
