Launching next month, the northern beaches traffic offender program is an educational road safety program designed specifically for traffic offenders. Providing participants with the information and skills necessary to develop positive attitudes towards driving and to change negative driving behaviour. The ultimate goal is to reduce the likelihood of participants committing any further traffic offences. The program covers six (6) crucial areas, each designed and presented by qualified professionals: Legal information- presented by an accredited criminal lawyer. Ambulance & emergency services perspective- presented by a first aid officer. Police perspective- presented by Ex Highway Patrol Sergeant Rob McKenna. Road Safety- presented by Warringah Council road safety officers. Drug & Alcohol- presented by HolyOake drug and alcohol counseling service Victim of road trauma perspective- presented by a professional community services trainer The northern beaches traffic offender program provides participants with not only the skills and educational materials to make informed decisions whilst on the road, but also an opportunity to demonstrate to the magistrate that you are making an effort to learn from your mistakes. After successful completion of the program you will be issued a certificate which you are required to bring to court.
