1. The Purpose Driven Resume!
October 31, 2013
To many this title may sound familiar. The Purpose Driven Life by Rick Warren was a wildly popular series of books that inspired a nation. However, I didn't want to take advantage of the title, but put a different spin on it, the Purpose Driven Resume.
As the CEO of Get My Mom a Job, I see many resumes, cover letters, and information come across my desk. Often I am left with the same conclusion, "What is the Purpose of the Resume?" The idea of Get My Mom a Job is to assist job seekers not in offering the largest database of jobs, but to offer solutions in the area of resumes, cover le... (read more)

2. Getting The Most Out Of Your Cup Of Coffee In The Morning
June 13, 2013
With a lot of people out there jumping on the "coffee pod" bandwagon, it needs to be recognized that the best, and most cost effective, cup of coffee that you are going to get are going to come from beans that you buy whole and grind at home. Sure, coffee pod machines are convenient, but they don't give you much in terms of flavor. While you might love the fact that you don't need to deal with a filter, the cup of coffee that you get does not end up tasting anything close to what you get from fresh ground beans. In addition, you end up paying more for the plastic pod that you are throwing away... (read more)

3. Prophecy Has No Entertainment Value but Piers Morgan Does
December 29, 2012
During an interview with mega-pastor Rick Warren on CNN host Piers Morgan has exclaimed that the Bible and the U.S. Constitution are ‘inherently flawed.’ Perhaps Morgan, like many liberals of the day are tired of being told that it is they, along with the rest of humanity, which are inherently flawed with something the bible calls the sin nature. (Romans 3: 23)
No one escapes this moral malady, but many today would like to have it all be explained away by scientists, apostate ministers and priests and every yellow journalist that jubilantly justifies their jaundiced junk jibe through the... (read more)

5. Phuket Resort - Why Karon Beach offers the best of them
May 11, 2012
When families, honeymooners, couples and businesspersons are looking for a suitable Phuket resort they usually end up choosing the ones available at Karon Beach. This is because, unlike Patong, Karon is more laidback and thus a most suitable location for quiet vacations. There are nice Karon Beach hotels along the moderately populated 3 kilometer curve of squeaky white sand that characterizes this beach. However, being laid back does not mean that Karon is a boring place to visit. For all that it is worth, this beach has its fair share of nightclubs, dining spots, shopping, tailoring, banks an... 10. The Way That Seems Right: The Social Church in America
November 19, 2009
Sound theology is being supplanted daily by the church’s drive toward a more social gospel. Fighting poverty, aids, hunger and homelessness are now considered more important than getting people saved. Are we on the right track?
All you have to do today to get a crowd in church is announce a study on The Purpose Driven Life. Even Catholics have taken to Warren-izing their congregations. If you want a little more credence then invite U2’s Bono to your conference or Joel Osteen to your news panel. It all sounds good, but is it?
Telling people everything is fine and only good things are ... (read more)

11. The Visual Generation - The Death of Discernment
July 27, 2008
When Chairman Mao of China wanted to reach an entire generation, many who were illiterate, he produced his communist message in “comic book” style. It resulted in an entire generation of youth jumping onboard Mao’s red wagon and subsequently tearing down the culture and traditions and the very structures of one of the oldest societies in the world.
In America it is mindless, Godless and feckless TV programming, You Tube and Hollywood’s latest offering of films that pour images on an entire generation. The result is exactly the same as it was in China but on a much larger scale and with so... (read more)

12. The New Evangelicals - Busy Sweeping Out Spider Webs
May 29, 2007
Some forty years past I had to look up the word “apostasy.” In the Bible it refers to the church in the last days being influenced by faithlessness, liberalism and secularism. Sadly I have witnessed this trend gaining and now it is spiraling out of control.
Evangelicals have until recently held the line on major moral issues like abortion and same sex marriages. Rev Lieth Anderson the new president of the National Association of Evangelicals says that he doesn’t see these two issues going away for the organization that now represents about 45,000 churches. But things are morphing at an al... (read more)
