Paul talks at lenghtabout his conversion experience in Acts Chapter 26 and in this accout he details just how zealous, hard working, and intense he was about persecuting Christians until his fateful encounter on the Road to Emmaus. For sure though, this was a direct confrontation with the powerful graces of the Lord for conversion and correction. Looking at what happened after this, we can infer that that Lord was looking at Paul as someone who coudld also convert that zeal and dedication for the wrong route to the road of service for that Lord. He probably did't expect or want Paul to receive the conversiona and correction and head to the resorts in Rome to enjoy a life of leisure and repose. For any given correction, one might get from the Lord, in the midst of this, there might be a view towards what the meaning and direction of this correction could be. It is wise to look at what this correction is enabling you to do, that might be of service to yourself, others and the Kingdom of God, This enabling grace for Paul, was built on his prior checkered experiences, his willingness to be a person of passion, zeal and dedication to the cause, and what the Lord did foresee as possible through his subsequent ministry. If Paul perpetually honed in on what he had done, previously he would have been stalled in proceeding for the Lord from the point of that confrontation at the road to Emmaus. He needed to and did work with the Lord and the basis of the grace of conversion and correction and what that meant going forward. He could have played it safe, still not trusting his nature and zeal which had already led him into deep trouble spiritually, but he needed to the larger degree to forget and forgive his own former practices and lock into this grace of conversion and correction and see what was being enabled by it, and what the Lord wanted from him despite his prior failings and shortcomings. Divorce from past failings does not mean divorce from all future related possibilities. The safe bet for Paul might have been to hang at the many resorts of that time and place, those places of leisure, and with that he would not have duplicated his prior failings, and he still maybe could have just prayed, but the Lord did want him to proceed with the on the ground ministry and the Spirit was with him to enable it For any possible conversion or correction a person might receive from the Lord, it is also important to look at and adequately read the accompanying enabling grace that is also there with this experience in further looking into the how of the ways you might proceed with the enabling grace of the Lord receiving along with this correction and conversion.
