1. Savour Glorious Gelato on a Family Holiday to Sicily
November 20, 2017

There are so many spectacular aspects to a visit to Sicily, ranging from visiting ancient to savouring excellent cuisine. However, the one element that always gets a mention from my clients when they return from their Sicily holidays is the ice cream. Gelato, as it’s known locally, is an integral part of Sicilian life (the locals even eat it for breakfast, wrapped in a delicious brioche bun). And nowhere is this more true than in the wonderful town of Taormina. This family-friendly resort is rightfully proud of its many gelaterie. Here the humble ice cream becomes a work of art, and ... 4. Eat Like a Local in Taormina
September 07, 2016

As one of the most spectacularly beautiful places in Sicily, Taormina is, naturally, also one of the most popular. This delightful town makes the perfect base for exploring the island, or just staying put and enjoying the ambience and views. For true foodies looking to sample authentic Sicilian cuisine, however, rather than follow the crowds to the high-profile tourist haunts, I've got some suggestions to take you just beyond the town to hang out where the locals go. Isola Bella This lovely bay sits under the shadow of Taormina and it's just a short distance by bus or car. Risto... (read more)
