June 23, 2015
Spline shafts are important part of the rotating components. Typically in a gear mechanism, a male spline on the shaft matches with the spline on the female parts. There are ridges or teeth to transfer the torque. They also help in keeping the angular correspondence. Accuracy of spline shafts affects the efficiency of moving parts. Hence, it is important to buy shafts from standard Spline Shaft manufacturers in India. There are various types of shafts, but a few are widely used in various applications:
Crowned splines

9. How to Repair My NiCd Battery That Will Not Take a Charge Anymore
October 29, 2014
Nickel cadmium (NiCd) batteries contain thousands of tiny crystals. If the battery is not fully discharged regularly, the crystals will merge and grow over time. This reduces the surface area of the crystals and the larger they get, the less charge your Milwaukee cordless drill battery can retain. Eventually you find your NiCd battery will not take a charge anymore. You probably don't need to replace the battery, however. You can repair it by initiating a deep discharge. Put your NiCd battery on charge. The battery will take a small charge and you need it to be as full as possible to star... (read more)

10. Testing Torque Wrenches
September 13, 2014
In a perfect world, every torque wrench would be tested for accuracy and consistency at regular intervals. We don’t live in a perfect world, and some torque wrenches go for decades without being tested. The first obstacle to torque wrench testing is expense. The least expensive torque wrench tester I found while researching this article was about $1,000. Torque wrench testers need to be fastened to an immovable object. You can’t just clamp a torque tester to the corner of a workbench and expect accurate results. Another obstacle to torque wrench testing is convenience. Some tool manufacturers ... (read more)

11. Caring For Torque Wrenches and Torque Conversions
September 13, 2014
Caring for your wrench
Torque wrenches are precision instruments and should be treated accordingly. Read the instructions for your torque wrench. If your torque wrench came in a carrying case, keep it in the case when you are not using it. Clicker torque wrenches should be stored with the adjuster set to minimum torque to avoid putting stress on the internal mechanism for prolonged periods of time. As mentioned earlier, torque wrenches should never be used as ratchets or breaker bars. Torque wrenches should only be used for the final tightening of fasteners. Don’t exceed the capacity of a... July 21, 2014
Imagine a bearing which is contained in a cast iron mounting bracket, which also works as an external housing for bearing and you have what is known as a pillow block bearing. The housing for such bearing, usually made from grey cast iron, is fashioned to get fastened tightly with help of bolts. The inner part of a pillow block bearing is made of a softer metal, often white metal, though the outer housing may be single or designed to split. Largely, it is meant for applications having very small load and torque. It is meant for use in those areas of an industrial unit which have clean surrou... (read more)

15. Ducati Streetfighter 848
April 16, 2014
The Ducati Streetfighter 848 was first introduced as a 2012 model but, more importantly, as a practical alternative to Ducati’s wheelie-prone Streetfighter 1098. The Testastretta 11° engine, with its reduced valve overlap, produces around 113 hp and 60.5 foot-pounds of torque, which gives the Duc a slight advantage over Yamaha’s new three-cylinder platform. A typical Ducati, the Streetfighter’s styling is hard to argue with, too. The less-is-more 848 doesn’t fall short in the performance category, and thanks to its surplus of low-end torque and beefy Brembo brakes it’ll give a bike like... (read more)

17. Maximizing Swing Speed with Control
February 12, 2014
The powerful swings launching drives well over 300 yards with ease and grace seem so effortless and smooth. In actuality it’s a violent display of force, torque and speed. So what does the average player do when they want to hit the ball further? They swing harder and faster in an attempt to do just that. The problem is that the amateur golfer equates the desire to hit the ball further with swinging their arms harder. Unfortunately when swinging their arms harder tension is created. When tension is created, the hands and arms get tighter, causing them to slow down. The exact opposite of... (read more)

18. Different Types of Speed Reducers
January 03, 2014
Sometimes food and bottling processors need for their conveyor systems to maintain different speeds throughout the day. One set of processes may require a different horsepower output than others, and that’s where an effective speed reducer comes into play. If your conveyor system’s speed reducer lacks the ability to smoothly adjust output torque, you’ll be confined in your ability to meet your operation goals.
Conveyor systems are propelled by the use of gearboxes, which also serve as speed reducers when needed. There are many types of speed reducers on the market that vary in size and f... (read more)

The advantage of by using a hydraulic pump repair in Delhi appliance is that a lot more force along with torque might be generated together with relatively small machines without requiring any gear method. An important element of a hydraulic machine will be the hydraulic pump. The supply associated with fluids just like oil as well as water for the various aspects of the machine is actually accomplished by making use of hydraulic pushes. How they perform, is based on the particular displacement of the smooth volume versus a proof load or perhaps pressure.

24. What does "turns" mean for a R/C car motor?
November 12, 2013
The number of times a copper wire is wrapped around each pole of the armature (an electromagnet made by coiling thin wire around the poles—two or more—of a metal core) in a R/C car motor. Generally, the more turns equates to less rpm and a longer battery life—these R/C cars would be slower and easier to drive than ones with a motor that has less turns (which would have less torque and more rpm). The number of “turns” isn’t to be confused with the number of “winds” in a R/C car motor. “Winds” refers to the number of wires (usually copper) wound around the armature, and “turns” is the number o...
