Five Texas Souvenirs Every Traveler Should Buy

Travel & Tourism
Every time you travel, you probably have a moment or two when you start thinking about buying gifts for your loved ones back home. If you happen to be somewhere very unique like Texas, the kind of Texas souvenirs you can take back home will absolutely blow your mind! That said, there are the usual trinkets that make any trip complete if only until you decide to clean out your junk drawers a few years from now. But Texas is something else entirely, and gifts from this state have a certain appeal that just sets them apart from most things.

It’s important to remember that anytime you are traveling and plan on bringing back a gift or two (or ten), you want to plan in advance. Be sure you’ve got enough room to brings things home with you. Also, be sure that anything you’re bringing back isn’t too fragile. The last thing you want to have happen is for something to break while in transit. One last thing to think about is when you decide to buy someone a gift, buy something you know will mean something. Why waste your money on a gift that someone will only want to get out of their home as soon as possible.

Are you thinking about what gifts might be best to get from Texas? Here’s a quick list of the best of the best:

Spirits — You might be shocked at the increasing presence of the Lone Star State on the spirits scene, but no matter the type of spirit, Texas is making a name for itself both domestically and abroad. There’s some good sippin’ going on!

Ornaments & Decorations — A new trend in home décor is using ornaments and decorations from trips to add a little personality to one’s home. Sometimes it’s for the holidays and other times, it’s just to help highlight trips taken over the years.

Boots — Few things are as Texan as a pair of cowboy boots. It’s a simple design with basic construction, but when made well & cared for, they last a lifetime. Plus, they can be dressed up or down.

Hat — Aside from boots, a cowboy hat is Texan through and through. It’s a utilitarian piece of clothing that does everything from make working outdoors bearable to making riding a mechanical bull sexy. You can’t go wrong with this.

Wine & Olive Oil — The world has been inundated with Texas wines and olive oil. Not only has production grown exponentially, but the quality of the product has stunned folks everywhere. Make your foodie friends giddy with delight by picking up some of these fine Texas products on your next visit.

If we’re being honest, Texas souvenirs can be just about anything from the state. Then again, can they? Some things are just uniquely Texan, and almost no state in the country can say the same for its unique commemorative gifts. So, the next time you happen to be trekking through Texas and you’ve got a loved on back home who could really use a one-of-a-kind present, do yourself a favor and think one thing — think Texas!

Texas souvenirs that are quintessentially Texas can be had from Texas Hill Country Olive Co., your source for unique gifts and tasty eats in the Lone Star State.
