Let’s dive into the snow and introduce you to some must-visit runs in the region. Tignes le Lac Don’t be fooled by the size of this area. While it’s not as large as some of the other runs, Le Lac promises plenty of fun and thrills, with interesting routes and several steep drops. If you want to challenge your mental strength as well as your body, this is the place. You have a choice of several routes, including the Light Blue one, which ends up in Le Lac. They all start from the Lavachet Wall, but there’s a particularly tricky run that goes through the avalanche fences. Another hard trail is the Yellow Route. You’ll begin by coming down the blue run towards Val Claret, then continue to head off-piste after a small summit. There is plenty of fun to be had here! Tignes Val Claret Speaking of Val Claret, you’ll find some great off-piste drops along these runs, too. The best place to find fresh powder is the Grande Motte, and it’s always better to try and get there early to be the first to make fresh tracks. Alternatively, take the Tichot chairlift then continue up to the Grattalau, where you’ll find a few more drops off the beaten track. Les Brevieres This is probably the best place to find off-piste fun on your ski holiday in Tignes, so even if you have a few days of whiteout, you won’t have to miss out on any action! The best thing about this area is that there are plenty of trees to play in – which is perfect for practising your slalom style. One of the favourite routes is to head right from the Aiguille Percee chairlift. With so many fun runs to choose from, there’s no question that Tignes is a fantastic place for a thrilling and very rewarding ski holiday.
