If you are a fan of NASCAR racing then you know how important a NASCAR scanner can be for the spectators. A NASCAR scanner gives the crowd the ability to climb inside the helmet of the race and understand what is going on throughout the race. When listening to a NASCAR scanner you will hear the racers, Crew pit, spotters, and race officials communicating back and forth. There are several different Uniden NASCAR scanners for you to choose from. The biggest decision that you have to make is between the total numbers of channels that are available with different scanners. You have the 100-channel scanner and the larger 200-channel scanner to choose from. With the 100-channel scanner, be aware that you will not have as many channels for racers, which means you won't be able to hear as many racers in their cockpits during the race. With the 200-channel scanner you can listen to more racers in their cockpits and program the cars in the scanner so that you can follow anyone that you want too. If you have a two-event weekend then you will have more cars to load on the scanner and having the 200 channels will really come in handy for this occasion, as you will have more than enough channels for all the cars. If you don't have a 200-channel scanner you have to reprogram the channels for each event, which can take too much time. When looking at the different scanners think of the long-term investment that you are making if you are a huge NASCAR fan. If this is a one-time event for you, then it might not be as important to get the 200-channel scanner.
