The universe of Marvel comics is filled with many characters. To showcase the abilities of these comic book heroes and villains Marvel comics sometimes turned their characters into cartoon characters. These cartoons were for the most part very popular. The Marvel Superheroes show however did not enjoy a long lasting fame on TV as it only lasted from February 1966 to November 1966. The characters who make up the Marvel Superheroes are the Incredible Hulk, the Submariner, Captain America, Iron Man and Mighty Thor. Each of these Marvel characters are enjoyable comic book characters. Their appeal was however diminished when the cartoon that showcased them did not make much use of animation techniques. In the Marvel Superheroes cartoon show these five Marvel Superheroes were shown on various days of the week. On a certain day you would be able to see how the Submariner who is known as Prince Namor faced off against his various enemies including his arch nemesis Mandarin. Prince Namor is characterized as being a prince from the submerged kingdom of Atlantis. On another day of the week you could see the Incredible Hulk lose his temper as he changes from the mild mannered Dr. Bruce Banner and turns into the green skinned giant. In these episodes of the Marvel Superheroes show you get to see the various mishaps and dangers that face the Incredible Hulk as he squares off against a being called the Leader. In the Marvel superheroes cartoon show you will see the different action adventures that the heroes go through. These segments are short of animation detail and they lack the smooth polish of the other action cartoons of the era. For each of the stories about the Marvel Superheroes the various battles and other situations are ones that are depicted in the Marvel Superheroes comic books. As a result the Marvel superheroes show did not gain much of a fan base and after 65 episodes it was cancelled. Today a few of the Marvel Characters from that show still enjoy fan approval and enjoyment but only because the storyline has been revamped and the available technology makes full use of all the ideas that can bring these Marvel Superheroes to life. The next time that you see some of these Marvel Superheroes in shows of their own you should be thankful that the television animators and produces of today realize that they need to show the many aspects of being a superhero for the young fans of today.
