In the ad specialties industry, it is estimated that promotional products is an 18 billion dollar industry. And it is a mere fact that the most saleable among these thousand items are custom apparels. However there was a decline of 13.6% in sales in 2009 due to recession, and according to the study, promotional products industry still fare better than most traditional media. Although there was a drop in sales, promotional items or corporate giveaways are still sought because of the demand to advertise business by clients from, small, medium to large enterprises. Every day, there's a new business registered that may require to buy some promotional products as giveaways to their clients. This has the edge towards most traditional media because they are not expensive especially if the owner doesn't have much budget when it comes to advertising. So the alternative here is to acquire some promotional items through a vendor. Most business owners require corporate giveaways corporate giveaways so they can still promote their business in cost effective way even the industry was affected by the recession. If the owner buys expensive customized items, they can cut their budget and can still choose from these thousand items like pens, key chains, lanyards, etc. as give away to their clients. One of the advantages of using promotional items is the ability of the logo or imprint of the products to be easily remembered by the prospective clients. For instance, the message on the pens let these buyers remember your products and services. They may not buy today, but as long as there is first-hand information, there's a tendency that they are required to find promotional products in the future. It's also a free advertising because corporate giveaways can be past from person to person. So why corporate giveaways are still the most sought advertising medium in spite of recession? I believe that promotional products are not really expensive at all and everyone can afford to buy one. The price can still be reduced and if this is not a choice, a promotional buyer can still look for their promotional products alternative. There's not that much to spend and they are still the best alternative if your intention is to advertise your business. For example, promotional pens can be a best choice instead of buying and giving away some of the high end promotional products. It can be replaced easily to a better choice if a company is cutting a budget when it comes to advertising their business. Its flexibility allows buyers to choose something they can afford to buy, unlike traditional media; it's hard to drop their price. You can ask your promotional vendor to either drop the price a bit or find some alternative products to justify your promotional needs. I believe that promotional products or corporate giveaways are still the most sought in spite of recession because more businesses are still using these items. And also, more and more businesses are set up every day and they are still considering promotional items as part of promoting their business.
